Everything was dead, rough and poorly taken care of

Horrible conditions. , the water pumps are broken, everything is super dry , fairways are like concrete. Greens are shaggy, I would only pay $ 10 to play this djmp

Call the course before booking. They lost a well pump and the course is in really bad shape. No water for at least 2 weeks in the hottest time of the year.

I like the location because it's close and the rates are reasonable. I was told to call Golf Now for a credit due to the conditions of the greens...which were brown... because the irrigation system went down. I have called and now written, but I don't seem to be getting anywhere with Golf Now.

Hardly a single blade of green grass. Greens rarely had green grass on them, those that did were shaggy and largely un-puttable. Fairways were mostly dirt or dead grass. They are clearly not watering this course. It would be a very nice course if it had grass. Find another course. $10 would have been too much.

Accidently chose this course. Couldn't get a refund. Decided to just go. There is more BARE dirt than grass. The houses around the holes had more grass in their yards. The grass on the greens was dry and almost dead. Doesn't look like they have watered in days/weeks. Good shots on the green bounced about 5 feet up and did not hold at all. One of the poorest condition courses I've ever seen/played. Do NOT go play here.

What an awful track. There is more dirt than grass in the fairways on this course.

This course is in extremely rough shape. Even for the summertime. The fairways were dirt and muddy in a lot of areas, and the greens were not in good shape either. There was a foursome in front of us with a pace of play of about six hours. They definitely need a marshal out and about. These guys were blasted and just standing around talking. They weren’t even golfing. But my main rating is definitely the condition of the course. The only good that came out of this experience was the cart lady was awesome! Super friendly and came around a ton. I won’t be back

Unfortunately they said their well broke, no water for August. It’s rough and DRY. Usually a great place to play but right now be warned, it is not in good shape.

Plus they could use a ranger. We were waiting at every hole for the SIXSOME in front of us that didn’t let anyone play through. I don’t care if you want to golf with 6 guys together but let the singles and twosomes play through. Irritating to say the least.

Greens were bumpy and slow due to aeration. Some of the fairways were over watered and very messy to play.

I seldom take the time to review a course in the valley, especially during the summer. I understand the difficulty in getting golfers to book times after 8 am in 117 degree heat. But this course is neglected, poorly managed, understaffed, and aesthetically unpleasant to look at or play. It's getting water, 2 feet off the fairway I sunk in a mud puddle up to my ankles (and ruined a decent pair of golf shoes). This puddle is indicative of a lateral line leak, unmarked, and obviously unrepaired. The fairways are wet, but the pictures show, the greenkeeper's staff is just watering dirt. Aeration attempted, but 1/4" deep aeration doesn't do much. The greens haven't seen the blades of a mower in the last 3 days.

The only positive to this morning, the cart girl (woman) was pleasant, courteous, apologetic (she even said as bad as this course is, it's better than last year), and available, serving everyone with a smile and a great attitude. The pro shop has second hand clubs for sale on a cash only basis, and the $5 price tag was $4.95 too high. Aside from a few AGR collared shirts, and golf balls; there's nothing in the shop. I've seen better equipped pro shops at neighborhood garage sales. No starter, flooded practice greens, and sand traps that rival California coast where it meets the Pacific Ocean.

If management isn't willing to improve this course, then save your money and play somewhere else. I will not return to this "resort" until ownership chooses to invest some time and care into their product.

While the course wasn't in perfect condition, it still represented an outstanding value. The design is excellent - plenty of challenge, but no tricks. The staff is super friendly, and I love the club's low-key vibe. I would recommend AGR to anyone!
