About
Golden Hills Golf Club (formerly known as Arizona Golf Resort) is home to a golf school and a challenging 18-hole course. The golf course is known for its difficult and scenic par-3 holes. It is has a traditional layout that features large, subtly sloped greens that are guarded by bunkers. Stately cottonwood and eucalyptus trees line the generous fairways. Lakes form water hazards that come into play on five holes and there is also native rough throughout the course. With four sets of tee boxes, the course offers a suitable challenge for players of all skill levels. In addition to the course and the school, the Golden Hills Golf Club has a putting green and chipping area as well.

Good layout, mediocre conditions.
The course has a nice layout and the par 3s are really nice. The par 4s are good, too. The par 5s are easier and that is where you need to make your pars and birdies. The fairways are in rough shape and the greens are decent. If you get a really good price, it’s worth playing.

Terrible shape
A good track just left to weather beating. The fairways were rock hard with only sporadic grass on several holes and the greens were bumpy. It seemed like the entire course had only a passing relationship with upkeep and/or water despite all the rain we have had. Won't be returning.

Great Course
Arizona Golf resort has a lot going for it. The fairways are cut very nicely with lots of room to play. The sand bunkers are very well maintained and I congratulate the course maintainers for keeping the sand "playable". Speaking of course staff I found them all very friendly and helpful. The greens are very well maintained and are in great shape.

What a shame!
This is a course that just needs bringing back, it wouldn’t need a lot! The layout is very good with some great holes. The greens were also very good, but the tees, fairways and surrounds are in need of attention. What is sad is it would not take a great effort to get it very good. The Clubhouse is magnificent, like going back in time Friendly staff, good happy hour. I played the course three times at the height of the season and the green fee was the best around. I will go back.

Over priced
All courses in Arizona have been overpriced problems is ppl are paying! Sad

Slow pace
Teed off at 3 o’clock played 3 holes. Almost 1 hour. No Marshall in sight backed up everywhere. We quit after three holes. What a waste of $90. Don’t waste your time they’re playing late in afternoon. No supervision at all. Very disappointed.
