Superstition Springs Golf Club
About
The East Valley's Superstition Springs Golf Club offers one of Arizona's most testing layouts, measuring over 7,000 yards, with a slope rating of 130. Golf course architect Greg H. Nash designed the course and worked with the landscape already in place to provide the abundant mounding, wide bunkers and good-looking but tough-playing water features.
By the time he had finished with the Superstition Springs Golf Club, Nash had created a golf course that Golfweek called one of America's Best Golf Courses.
After - or before - a round of golf at the Superstition Springs Golf Club, hit up the restaurant for breakfast, lunch or drinks either inside or on the patio, which overlooks the golf course's signature hole, the ninth.

Stay away
For the money this is highway robbery. It should not be hard to find sand in a desert. Every bunker is non playable. Now I know why there are no rakes, there is no sand. Tee boxes were barely public course worthy. After 9 holes people like to grab a dog, that was almost 15 -20 mins. Have a few ready.what I remembered from 10 years ago has gone down steep, I would never recommend this course EVER
Enjoyable
I visited the area in February 2022 and this is , by far, the best course I played. It had personality and was in very good condition.
40 Years Later
I’ve passed over this course for decades. Called my buddy, booked s tee time and enjoyed some snowbird company. Great people. Great staff. Conditions were a little on the wet side post a two day winter storm dumped rain and hail all over the valley. Challenging course.
Don’t waste your time
Goofy holes. Tiny greens. Swear the person putting out the pins has never actually golfed before. Starter could use some hospitality training. Will never go back
Excellent course
Ii spent the month of February 2022 in the area. This is, by far, the best course I’ve played.
Feb22 Golf
Overall nice round of golf...a little cool and breezy, but sunny. Most of the course is in nice condition. Traps not playable and course recommends taking a drop due to this. Staff very friendly and helpful!
SD visitor
First time playing the course, overall a good experience. Staff was polite/professional, course conditions were very playable, but what’s with the conditions of the sand traps here & the course I played in La Quinta California? For players from the back tees, small greens.
Staff was prompt and polite
This course was the best value for the $ that we golfed this week
Nice course
Good layout. Conditions good. Good greens. Bunkers not maintained probably due to covid as no rakes in any bunker. Hardly any sand in most bunkers. Would have given it 5 stars otherwise.
Fun day
Course was great…several tough holes but fun challenge
First time playing
Was impressed with the overall condition of coarse greens and fairways were good shape pace of play was also good
Great round
Course was in great shape! 7:33 tee time and it was beautiful. Staff was awesome and very helpful for a first timer at the course. Definitely recommend this course. Tough on the back 9, but a beautiful layout.
Good and bad. Thanks
This course is in very good shape and the staff were super friendly. The practice range was great too. But, we had 5 people in front of us. Two ladies were riding along with their husbands but at the 2nd tee they golfed and were bad and held us up every hole. The brakes on our cart didn’t work either so that was a huge pain. Although the course was in excellent condition, there were way too many rolling hills, moguls and grass bunkers for our liking.
