stonecreek
pace was a little slow but not terrible. Greens very good and consistent. Some hole layouts were a little odd.........not always easy to see how to play the hole from the tee box.Good conditions on fairways and greens.
this golf course is good for the community!
Fairways of the golf course and tee box were maintained, bunkers were okay. Putting greens excellent except that chicken's poop were on the putting greens of the back nine and around the greens. The creek dividing the fairways water pond are very intimidating and challenges. Overall the golf course is excellent condition.
CHALLENGING
The course was in fine shape. Better than, some of rhe reviews on Yelp. This course is definitely for the better golfer. If you are not a 12 handicap or better I would suggest an easier course.
Close to Chompies!
Stonecreek is/has always been a nice course to play locally! Can play tight from the tips; fair from the gold tees! Greens slippery (8/9 stemp); lot's of subtle breaks around the cups, but putt true. Fairways are in great shape this round! Good course conditions should hold up through winter! But greenies a little steep; to be expected this time of year. Always nice to return several times a year!
The course is in excellent shape.
We started on time at 1 pm. and finished in under 4 hours. This can be a somewhat challenging course. Play the appropriate tee box based on your playing ability. Water comes into play on a few holes. Elevation of greens and bunker placement can create a challenge on a few holes. The fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Nice variation among the holes. It does not present your often seen parallel fairways as with some other courses. I'll definitely play it again.
Great Value
Course was in great condition. Pace was a little slow due to many golfers out to enjoy perfect golfing weather. Great value for golf near Scottsdale
A nice course
Really enjoyed the course. We will definitely play it again.
Pace of Play Atrocious
Golfed here for the first time after passing it a ton. From the first tee, pace of play was terrible. Snowbird couples everywhere and not a ranger in sight. Course was in great shape and would love to give it another shot in the summer.
This course was cart path only but the course was in good shape.
Slow afternoon of Golf
Course was in good shape, would have been easier to walk given the cart path only requirements. Play was very slow - started at 1430 and only got 12 holes in before darkness.
Lush!
I was pleasantly suprised to find this a fairly challenging and scenic course with some shots longer than they look. Greens and traps were in outstanding condition. The only negative was that we were following a tournament and it got bottled up on the 15th hole and subsequently played the last 2 in near dark. All in all...want to come back again soon.
I like this course alot
Stone Creek never disappoints, this condition of the course continues to change to the better. A very good golf course
Nice layout, pace of play too slow
On pace for a 5+ hour round on a Monday. Need I say more.
Done with Stonecreek
There are four of us. Two near eighty and two in their mid-60’s. We do not play “ cartpath only” golf. When I booked this round I was not told we would have to stay on the cartpaths. We didn’t learn until we got to the course. Come to find out the course had been overwatered and the rough was incredibly high because the head maintenance guy was sick. If you went off the fairway you couldn’t find your ball unless you stepped on it. We got soaked walking through the high grass. We agreed that this was singularly the worst day of golf we ever experienced. Thinking we were with a tournament that teed off the backside, the ranger came out to tell us we were two holes behind the group in front of us even though we turned in two hours. He apologized when he realized we were the lead group. We play every week year round. We are done with Stonecreek golf course.
Mr. Cushman,
We truly are sorry that your group was unaware of the CPO rule. Unfortunately, since your group booked through Golf Now we were unable to inform you of the rule personally. For future reference if you check your online tee time confirmation email any unusual course maintenance or cart rules will be posted in the tee times notes. The rough was certainly higher than we would like and has been addressed. The wetness of the course you experienced was from dew as your group teed off at 6:36am. It typically takes a few hours to dissipate. Again, we apologize that your experience did not meet expectations and hope you try the course again when the CPO rule is lifted November 10th.
Respectfully,

Bad
Well, the course was scalped for overseeding. Didn't know that until I got there. It was a typical hot Phoenix day-not the courses fault, obviously-but the pace of play was the worst I have ever seen. I am a Phoenix native, been golfing for about 40 years all over the valley. By the six hole, other foursomes were giving up and driving back to the clubhouse. There were three or four foursomes waiting on the holes in front of us. We gave up on number seven and headed in. There was a Cold Beer and Cheeseburger restaurant around the corner so the day wasn't a total disappointment.
