About

After a round at Trilogy Golf Club at Vistancia head to the Verde Grill for foods both familiar and inventive.

Great Value and Course
Service was friendly. The layout was challenging but very fair. Greens rolled really nice and the course was in great shape. I will recommend this value to all my golfing pals.
Great layout
Even though they are preparing for overseeding the course played great.
Good conditions
Course in good overall shape, greens smooth and consistent. Fairways in good shape for September in the valley. Many tee boxes with healthy grass that had not been mowed. Marshall moved slow group along.
Triology at Vistancia - good challenging course
I played on Fri afternoon and it was around 100-103 degrees hot. The course layout is very good with enough challenges. Fairways and Greens are in good condition in Sept bc of lot of rain this year. Greens were reasonably fast. Drink cart came couple of times but the gave us heads up that bc there are very few golfers on the course so they will only come back once. Pace of play was good and we finished our round in 4 hrs and 15 mins.
The restaurant right by the club house offers variety of food. It was Fri and being a long weekend the entire restaurant was full so had to sit out side on covered patio. The server warned us that it will take 40 mins or so to get the food once you order as they are very busy. Drinks were served on time and overall we had very good experience. I would go back to play again.
Another challenging course
This course is out in Mesa and 40 mins drive from North Scottsdale. The course lay out is really good with challenging holes both in front nine and back nine. Practice area is nice both driving range and short game area. Greens were bit faster once moisture evaporated. Fairways and greens are well maintained. Drink cart came by frequently. It’s a tough course.
We had a brunch in the Bogey’s restaurant and food was good and live music was a surprise but we enjoyed it. I will definitely come back and try to play better and score well.
Unorganized and short of imenities
No starter and part of my group left ahead of schedule leaving me behind and had to catch up.
No towels or drinking water supplied
Great Conditions!
The course is in fantastic shape from tee to green! My only complaint (and it’s not entirely valid) is that the “Tournament” tees are never setup. I’m a pretty solid player and 6,850 yards just isn’t enough to make it a stern test of golf. Aside from that, I can’t say enough good things about the staff, layout, superb course conditions, and V’s Taproom. Just a really good experience every time we tee it up out there.
Pleasantly surprised based on past history
The course was in good shape today. However you never know what to expect here. I played here a lot and I like the course. Each time it is a surprise. I've played here in good conditions and then I've played when there hasn't been a blade of grass on any fairway. Today it was good. The practice area was OK. I had to ask for range balls. In previous visits the practice areas were immaculate with range balls available at each station in a nice pyramid shape. Overall, I'd play here again, however not at their regular price. There are many more courses with better conditions with better rates i.e. Copper Canyon, Granite Falls, Southern Dunes.
All around a great time!
1) staff is SUPER accommodating and nice!
2) range and putting fifteen in good shape.
3) Course was in good shape. Many fluffy lies, not used to it having played so many thin and burned out roughs.
4) V’s Tap room has good food and attentive service.
Still Needs Work
While Trilogy is a great layout and the bunkers have been improved, there still needs much to be done to make this course comparable to places like Verrado, Wigwam, Estrella, Palm. Valley, and all the local Troon courses.
There are too many “patchwork” areas where different varieties of grass have been inserted and it makes areas look like a patchwork quilt. This is particularly noticeable around many of the greens and green side bunkers. It leaves many shots nearly unplayable because of this. Inconsistent landscape. Some fairways are well maintained; unfortunately, other are terrible. The same goes for the greens with some very sandy, and others better maintained. Given the above, it’s hard to rate the course better than “average”.
Great round
With the recent weather the course was in great condition. A few spots were a little muddy but that’s expected with all this rain but the greens were soft and you could attack pins. Made for such an enjoyable round.
Tee boxes were tall. Greens were still bumpy from aeration. Fairways were good
Great challenge!
The course was in OK shape; you could tell that they were getting things ready for the summer; lots of aeration going on and sandy greens. The layout was amazing and I'd imagine the course would be beautiful in the fall/winter months. I'd love to play there again when the weather is nicer, but if you dont want to pay the $50+ non resident fee I'd recommend getting in during the summer months while you can. The staff was very friendly and helpful and their pro shop has everything you need that you might have forgotten to bring for your round.
Not great
Course plugged and sanded so not great. Then they take huge sod patches from one place to another, so two areas in fairways are chewed up.
$25 is too much with current conditions.
Very stressed grass area that have been ‘patched’ by bringing in sod, laid out in worn areas, are not flush to the existing fairway or rough. Extremely difficult play as they are also much more wet in the attempt to make them grow.
Great course
Great experience with nice greens and good layout. Staff super friendly.
