Arizona Biltmore Golf Club - Links Course

The Pros:

* This is a Resort course. The staff takes this seriously and was very helpful and pleasant. The cart guys were great immediately offering to help load your bag onto the cart and clean the clubs after the round. The course has Ice and towels and a little ice chest on the carts.

* The GPS on the carts were fairly accurate to the pin. The GPS gave an overview of the hole and a touch screen to tell you distances to doglegs and obstacles. The carts had pep and ran smooth.

* The beverage cart made several appearances during the round.

The Cons:

* The pace of play was ridiculous. We waited every hole from 4th on. After the 6th the back up got even worse. There were a couple groups waiting. On the 13th there was 3 groups on the tees waiting.

* The fairways had several burnt or dead areas. In some areas the fairways were fairly thin. I realize it is summer in AZ, but other courses are not this bad. The greens on the front 9 appear to still be healing from aeration. They were sandy and quick. The back 9 greens were much slower and fuzzy.

I can only give this course 2 stars which the staff and the GPS on the carts pulled up from the 1 star I would have given. Very disappointed overall. I will not be back.

The temp was 105, but the greens were the slowest in the Valley. How is that even possible?

The course has some challenging holes with a beautiful view, kind of like a old girl friend you wouldn't mind playing her again

Two things you need to keep in mind if you play this course: First you MUST be on time. We were less than 5 minutes late and were told we would have to wait for over an hour. Second, which goes along with the first, make sure you know how to get to the Pro Shop. We would have arrived in plenty of time to warm up before the round but could not locate the Pro Shop from the address on the receipt. The staff was not at all accommodating and we requested a refund instead of waiting for over an hour. We played Ken McDonald in Tempe and had a GREAT experience.

I hadn't played here before but my buddy had and suggested the Links course.

The customer service was awesome and the course was in great shape. For the most part, the cart's GPS was accurate and easy to use. Overall it was a perfect round of golf.

The only criticism I had was that there are a couple of forks in the road, where there are no signs to indicate where to go. Wasn't as big a deal for us as my buddy had played there before but if you hadn't, it could be easy to get off track at those spots.

Enjoyed the round at the Links course. Course is in nice shape except the sand traps which could use more sand. Greens ar in very good shape. Played from the back tees and it is a nice challenge. Staff is very nice. Will play again at the Biltmore. Ended up playing 36 holes and really enjoyed the day.

This course is perfectly maintained, and its lush vegetation could make you forget it's the desert. At the same time, the use of elevation and alignment makes the combination challenging.

The staff handled a large number of golfers well, and the various facilities are among the best. On this particular day the weather was perfect. This course likely provides a great round even if it isn't.

You can't beat the vibe at the Biltmore. A legendary resort that trickles relaxation down to the golf course.

Everyone at the course is professional and friendly. The course was in perfect shape. Starter was very friendly and fun.

I saw the marshal a few times but he did a great job of disappearing before there was any disruption. (There is nothing wrong with keeping an eye on things.)

Beautiful course with great views. Interesting and challenging course. In great condition. Greens were a little slow but overall enjoyed round and will return.

I played the Links course and it was really nice. Front side is short and pretty tight, back 9 is much more open, challenging and a great course. Greens were a little slow, traps were average and everything else was excellent. The staff is 100% professional and friendly. The Biltmore is a classy place and I always enjoy playing there.

The course was in terrific condition, greens rolled great! Beautiful views! We will do it again soon.

My spouse and I played this course for the first time. We were lucky enough to join up with a couple of locals who provided insight throughout. Course is in very good condition although was surprised how slow the greens were in relation to other courses we played this week. Great round capped off with a nice lunch on the patio. Highly recommend this course.
