Arizona Biltmore Golf Club - Links Course

About
The Links at Arizona Biltmore Golf Club is the "younger" of two golf courses on the Biltmore property, and offers intelligence and innovation, with little room for impatience, on a much-feted design that fast gained reverence from both local and visiting golfers. The golf course features fairways that wind amidst lush pine trees and some of Phoenix's showier houses, greens so bunkered that precision is the minimum to shoot for, and contoured greens that roll as they come. Put the ball where it belongs, and it'll show up on the scorecard; put the ball where it doesn't, and that will show up, too.
After your round on the Links at Arizona Biltmore Golf Club, head in for one of several dining options, from Southwestern to French to Asian to fusion dishes, as well as snacks and high tea post-tee.

Fallen from former glory
I used to love The Links course at AZ Biltmore and was back on it for the first time in years yesterday. To say the course is in rough condition would put it kindly. I’ve never seen fairway grass grafted onto greens as a repair and we saw this on no less than 4 greens, including my favorite hole 15. One approach shot which landed short of the green actually had a dirt splash as the shot landed before rolling up on the green - never seen that before!
We had the course to ourselves and now I know why. I’m sorry to say , but wait til they fix it.
Not worth the time
Course is in horrible shape, at least 5 greens have temporary sod on them(looks like they picked it up at Home Depot) Fairways have major bare spots . Overall not worth the time or the money
Great Course But Only in Fair Shape
An excellent links style course with a flat first nine with 3 water holes and a very challenging second nine with extensive tee or green elevations. The elevated tee box at the Par-3 15th hole offers a stunning view of the valley as well as a challenging 165 Yd shot that is much longer than it looks! Still some bare spots in the fairways, but mostly OK. Some of the greens were being worked on to improve the grass before the winter season therefore parts of some of the greens are not puttable right now. I always bring my out-of-town guests here to play
Nearly unplayable greens….
Half of the greens are grounds under repair, not what you expect for a resort course in the most expensive zip code in phoenix…tee boxes can be rough. Cart girls and staff are amazing, though. Fun layout.
Fun par 3's
Greens were slow and the course had some brown spots but was overall nice. The new bar & grill is pretty sweet.
LINKS BILTMORE
Excellent day to play at the Biltmore. No one in front and 1.5 hrs till next group plays after us. Loved the course all to ourselves. Had a newbie with us and was a perfect day to have him learn etiquette, rules, etc. just an Awesome Day on the links.
Not A Good Vlue For the Money
Although the scenery is great the course was in poor condition with 4 of the greens with large sections of just burnt brown grass and many of the fairways with weeds where grass should be. I know it is summer but a little water would be a good idea. Biltmore Links is my favorite local course but I can't recommend it based on the conditions and the overpricing right now.
Great Course, Great Amenities....Course condition was So So
I always enjoy my rounds at the Links Course and the Estate Course. I just found it troubling that there were many patches of dirt where there should have been grass.....around the greens/fringe area and on the greens as well. Not a good look Biltmore!
Terrible Shape + No Range or Putting Green
I understand it's summer in Phoenix, but this was bad by any standards. So many courses do better in the same conditions I just don't understand the excuse. The greens were extremely slow with all sorts of dirt areas cutting through, the fairways had to be lift clean and place to avoid hitting out of mud holes and the bunkers were just hard pan. I kept thinking it would get better, and the back nine improved a little with the fairways being less patchy, but everything else stayed the same.
Even with perfect conditions, the layout isn't anything special outside of 2 or 3 holes that offer something outside of just the most basic visuals and design.
I was disappointed and wish I'd have spent my day somewhere else
Great Course But Poor Conditions
Links is my favorite local course. However the fairway conditions are poor on 5 of the 18 holes. Spotty fairway grass and greens were very dry. Course needs water and better care. At $49 it is over-priced for the current conditions. Layout is great and hole #15 is the best in the Valley!
Pleasurable
Quick pace of play .. although at 107 degrees we were the only ones out there .. that being said, course in good condition
Great Course In The Middle Of Phoenix For A Fair Price
Biltmore Links is our favorite local course. Play among the mansions with million dollar views of the city. The first 9 holes are rather level with water on 3 of the holes and dog legs on 4 other holes. The second nine winds up through the ravines to the elevated tee box of Hole #15 that is 172 feet above the fairway with 360 degree views of the Valley. If you have out-of-town friends this is the course to bring them to!
