Raven Golf Club - Phoenix

The fairways were in great shape but the greens were punched a couple weeks ago and a bit bumpy making it difficult to read the greens. It was also a brutally hot day with no breeze to make it bearable.

On top of great its good value for the price, only issue was that no cart lady. Pace of play was a perfect 4hrs on the dot

Well maintained course, fun and visually captivating fairways and greens.

I played at 11:15 so it was HOT! That being said, the course fairways and tees were in outstanding condition, the greens were very grainy and a little slow but still in very nice shape. The only negative on course conditions were the bunkers. They looked nice but under a 1/16 inch of sand they were as hard as bricks!

To top it off (in the nice category) we were not held up one time all day! I think we played in well under 4 hours!

This was my second time at the Raven Golf Club and it was an incredible experience! The course was in terrific shape for late July when most courses are torched. Staff was all amazing, cart service was as well. We will definitely be back to play it again soon!

I don't pay winter prices for Phoenix's premium golf courses, so I don't get to play them often. Jumped on the chance to play Raven for $65. Of course, the round was very inexpensive largely because the greens were punched and sanded and largely unplayable. But, otherwise, the course was beautiful and in great condition. Even with the poor greens, I enjoyed the round at the discount rate

This could have been a 10/10 rating, as the grassed areas were all in terrific shape. The bunkers however were very light on sand so it was almost impossible to get under it to get out. Fun layout though with some room to miss off the tee.

Normally wouldn't pay the price for this premium course, but for $65, who could complain. The low price was surely because the greens were punched. Putting was totally impossible. Worst I've ever played on. But the fairways, tee boxes, and rough, are all in great condition. It is a sweet layout and was a lot of fun.

We have now played a few courses this July and this was by far the best conditions for this time of year. Fairways were still green and lush, only complaint was they punched the greens, but everything else we fantastic and the price was right!

The course was in great condition for July. Loved the layout. The pro shop staff was great. The ranger wasn’t really enforcing pace of play but instead came by 3 times to apologize for the slow group that was a couple holes ahead of our group. He gave the impression that he was going to do something about it, but it never materialized. Overall it was an enjoyable day.

I have played numerous other golf courses in the Phoenix area this summer and Raven is better condition than most others. After saying this I have been playing Raven for 15 years and the bunkers are still terrible and always have been. The couple I was in have no sand and were like concrete. Stay out of the bunkers and you will think it’s a great golf course. People pay $275 in the winter to play this course with terrible bunkers. Just don’t get it!
