The sun shines 350 days a year in Phoenix and you can enjoy this factor at Ahwatukee Country Club. "Ahwatukee" is Crow Indian for "house of dreams", but this could easily be the "golf course of dreams".
The semi-private Ahwatukee Country Club offers an 18-hole golf course designed by John Bulla in 1974 that is open year-round and includes a driving range, as well as a cart included in the greens fee. The golf course is par-72 and measures 6,713 yards from the championship tees.
The Ahwatukee Country Club golf course features a fairly wide-open layout, but has out-of-bounds areas on either side of the fairways - including some with houses, so watch out for those windows - as well as water hazards on some holes. The putting greens play fast.
After a tight front nine on the Ahwatukee Country Club golf course, things open up on a razor-sharp par-4 dogleg 10th hole, with no chance to cut corners: there's a towering forest to the left.

Sub par course
This has to be the worst course I have played on in the Phoenix valley to date. The conditions were just utterly terrible, you couldn’t tell where the fairway was because more than half the grass was dead or just hard packed dirt. The greens were patched and uneven. The range basically gives you a good visual of how bad the course is. Not to mention we spent $65 a person to play 18 holes?! I would never recommend this course to anyone. Go play Ken McDonald if you want something low quality, this place is even worse.
Please work in the fairways as we would hit in the middle of the fairway and there were often times water or sand in the middle of the fairway

Greens are horrible . Fairways marginal. Tees marginal. Bar is good.

Did not get a chance to play
arrived 1 hour early for an 11:45 tee time. At 11:45 no golf carts available. 4 groups waiting for carts. At 12:00 no golf carts available. now 6 groups waiting for carts. At 12:15 no golf carts available and now 8 groups waiting for carts. At 12:30, still no carts available. We requested a refund and left. No idea about the course. Did not play.. Lots of apologies by the staff, but still no carts.

Not worth $75
Greens were In terrible conditions, they had some odd “square cut outs” on multiple greens. We had to move our putts numerous times to avoid them. Not much green grass really anywhere on the course.

Waste of money
No carts, had to wait for 1/2 hour. Members cut in from of us with a later tee time. Course was in bad shape. Can't imagine being a member there.

Course layout is ok but in poor condition
Some tee boxes were in poor condition. Parts of most fairways had no grass. Some greens were very rough and bunkers had very little sand. The poor maintenance of the course allows less golf knowledgeable golfers to drive their carts on parts of the course that should not be driven on. This further deteriorates the course conditions.

Great Staff
Thank you. Great staff that pointed out where evening was, pace of play, and information about certain holes.

Friendly and efficient Staff
We have played this course several times and staff are efficient and friendly consistently.
The course does needs some major maintenance. No the greenest course in AZ, and not the worse. We enjoyed the day as there were few playing probably because o predicted winds.

Poorly run
We waited for a hour after our T time they dish’s even any carts available they had 6-8 people playing together and one group only had 1 bag for 4 people. They said the ranger went home because he was frustrated. The starter/ cart guy did the best for a bad situation.
