The sun shines 350 days a year in Phoenix and you can enjoy this factor at Ahwatukee Country Club. "Ahwatukee" is Crow Indian for "house of dreams", but this could easily be the "golf course of dreams".
The semi-private Ahwatukee Country Club offers an 18-hole golf course designed by John Bulla in 1974 that is open year-round and includes a driving range, as well as a cart included in the greens fee. The golf course is par-72 and measures 6,713 yards from the championship tees.
The Ahwatukee Country Club golf course features a fairly wide-open layout, but has out-of-bounds areas on either side of the fairways - including some with houses, so watch out for those windows - as well as water hazards on some holes. The putting greens play fast.
After a tight front nine on the Ahwatukee Country Club golf course, things open up on a razor-sharp par-4 dogleg 10th hole, with no chance to cut corners: there's a towering forest to the left.

Disappointing and Disrespected
The slow pace and poor condition of the course for the money wasn’t the worst part of this experience. My dad and I play a scramble usually so we can play faster. But on the 18th hole the Marshall followed us about 20 yards behind every shot and didn’t let us play then aftee we all (the other 2 guys that got paired with us) made it to the green the Marshall kicks us off the green. On the 18TH!!!!!!!! I had never been so disrespected before in my life. The Marshall’s name was Darrel and if he’s there just save your money. Turn around a go home. He won’t let you enjoy your round at all. What a TERRIBLE experience!!

Decent for the money
Its not good but good for 50 bucks considering all the other courses in Phoenix are over priced. This is a $25 course anywhere else in the country except for California. Girl at the counter was great very friendly and competent. Course was in pretty good shape tees fairways and greens. Every where else was dirt pretty much. Expect a 5 1/2 hour round but that’s what happens when you put groups out every 7 minutes.

Most greens were in good shape, fairways in good shape also. If you get off the fairways it is mostly hard pan. Overall for the money especially in a hot deal it’s a good course this time of year.

Dried out tract
Played here while on vacation as it seemed to be fairly reasonable compared to the other more famous courses, but, alas you get what you pay for. The conditions were one of the worst I have encountered in many years, with absolutely dried out areas with no possibility of a decent lie. Greens were patchy as well. The fairways are OK. Pace of play is slow.

Course in Bad Shape
This course has the potential to be really great. There are several holes that force you to make decisions on what club to pull. It is an older course. There are several trees that have grown up in the right places, forcing you to shape shots or use an alternative club. The marshall on the course was very friendly and we saw him several times. It was a little slow for the first 9 holes, but you could tell he was working with the groups ahead of us to speed up play. Unfortunately, it is in the worst shape I have seen any course in a long time. I thought we might be in a little bit of trouble when we went to the practice green and it was in terrible shape. More than half of it was unusable. My group and I figured that maybe it was just a problem withe the practice green, but several of the greens on the course had the same diseased look. I would say that at least 1/3 greens were in terrible shape. Some of the pin placements were set up in the middle of these diseased areas of the green, which doesn’t give me much hope for them fixing the issue anytime soon. I believe the 11th green had half of the green as ground under repair. Which I understand, that happens. It would be nice to know that before you walk onto the green. Several of the tee boxes were not level. It was difficult to find a spot where the your feet weren’t above the ball or vice versa. There are many great options in the area in a similar price range, $85. I would recommend spending your money elsewhere until they can figure out how to fix the greens and the tee boxes.

Trying to Make a Buck
The course was in fair condition. Front 9 pace was dreadful, 2:50, but we did the back in 2 hours. Tee time was 1:22, didn’t tee off until 1:45. But I get it. The course has gone through some tough times financially and are just trying to make a buck. As a golfer I am grateful for the efforts of all course owners and operators. Sure it can be a bit frustrating as they try and push as many people through as possible, but better that than another course closed. So if you go, be patient and enjoy your round. I would certainly play there again.

Worst day of golf in my life
Plan on 7 hours to play 18. We got to the 5th hole and had 17 people waiting, including a 5 some. Tee times separated by 8 minutes even though they allow more than four. We spent 3 1/2 hours to play nine. We only had five hours, so we left early. Marshall was angry and threatening if you were not exactly 90 degrees, even though a lot of the course was dirt. Cannot imagine how they stay in business. Very disappointed Golf Now would book such a course. Please do not go.

Never again
This was probably the worst course I’ve played in Az. So much potential but very poor conditions. Greens were barely even grass and the holes were constantly placed in the worst spots of so called greens. Scabs of grass left all over the greens. To make it worse we had a group in front of leave early which caused a gap in front of us. The marshal followed us for 3-4 holes… Go get a hose and take care of your piece of crap course and let us enjoy our over priced round! Sheesh! I will never play this course again.

As bad as it gets
Tee times are 7 minutes then 8 minutes alternating, teed off 30 minutes after out tee time, with still no carts available, played front nine in 3 hours. Worst experience I have had playing golf in Arizona,

Do not play here
It took over 3 hours to play 9 holes… 25 minutes behind schedule for no apparent reason and the pace of play was unbelievably slow. No Marshalls to be found anywhere and no management on the premises during a busy afternoon. Course conditions are awful, this place ain’t worth more than $10… do yourself a favor and play somewhere else.

Worth $20 st best
Course in very bad shape. Dirt patches and sod replacement on greens. Tee boxes barren. No rough to speak of. And that was the best part. Rangers and cart boys rude and arrogant. Not worth even $20. Do not even consider!!

Not So Good Experience
We arrived about 20-25 minutes before our 1:52 pm tee time. 4-5 groups waiting to tee off with no carts available. By 2:15 pm, only 2 guys had teed off so we asked to cancel and get our money back. We wouldn’t have come close to finishing by dark. Clubhouse staff was apologetic but this should never happen. Green/cart fee was $105 and this is not a $105 course.
