The sun shines 350 days a year in Phoenix and you can enjoy this factor at Ahwatukee Country Club. "Ahwatukee" is Crow Indian for "house of dreams", but this could easily be the "golf course of dreams".
The semi-private Ahwatukee Country Club offers an 18-hole golf course designed by John Bulla in 1974 that is open year-round and includes a driving range, as well as a cart included in the greens fee. The golf course is par-72 and measures 6,713 yards from the championship tees.
The Ahwatukee Country Club golf course features a fairly wide-open layout, but has out-of-bounds areas on either side of the fairways - including some with houses, so watch out for those windows - as well as water hazards on some holes. The putting greens play fast.
After a tight front nine on the Ahwatukee Country Club golf course, things open up on a razor-sharp par-4 dogleg 10th hole, with no chance to cut corners: there's a towering forest to the left.

Not worth the money
The only thing somewhat in good shape are the fairways. A majority of the greens are in bad shape and some of them should be completely redone. There are so many other better courses for the money. The putting green by the first tee shouldn't even be in use.

Ok course for the right price
A few of the greens were damaged or under repair… the rest were in pretty nice shape. I played for $35 and thought that was a decent deal and fair this time of year, with the condition of the course. I would much sooner play Dobson ranch or Ken McDonald for the $60-$70 price range.

Bad Experience
Course was in poor condition. They where spraying the fairways with green paint while we where playing. We had green paint on our hands, golf clubs, shoes it was very messy.

Frightening lack of grass
This place is terrible - the overall lack of grass is surprising. There is dirt and mud on the practice green and this continues throughout the course. Large, and I mean LARGE areas of dirt in a lot of fairways and in most greens. One hole on the back nine has a huge area in the middle of the green sodded with rough height grass. After a phenomenal growing season after overseed this year I am totally surprised to see this on any course in the area. It’s worse than bad. For $75, next time I’d rather just burn it in my driveway and stay home for the day.

Horrible Course condition
This course does not warrant a 100 dollar greens fee. The greens were torn up in spots and the fairways were patchy at best. This was never mentioned in the clubhouse!!

Length of course
This is a very nice course, the length of it is a bit long for the average player. But we used the red T boxes versus the white.
