The sun shines 350 days a year in Phoenix and you can enjoy this factor at Ahwatukee Country Club. "Ahwatukee" is Crow Indian for "house of dreams", but this could easily be the "golf course of dreams".
The semi-private Ahwatukee Country Club offers an 18-hole golf course designed by John Bulla in 1974 that is open year-round and includes a driving range, as well as a cart included in the greens fee. The golf course is par-72 and measures 6,713 yards from the championship tees.
The Ahwatukee Country Club golf course features a fairly wide-open layout, but has out-of-bounds areas on either side of the fairways - including some with houses, so watch out for those windows - as well as water hazards on some holes. The putting greens play fast.
After a tight front nine on the Ahwatukee Country Club golf course, things open up on a razor-sharp par-4 dogleg 10th hole, with no chance to cut corners: there's a towering forest to the left.

Excruciatingly slow pace of play
Everyone that works theee is very nice and the food i had at the restaurant was great. However. The pace of play and course conditions are so bad that i would never play here again. There wasn't a marshall that i saw but i dont believe the pace was slow because golfers fell behind. It seems as though they just jam pack in tee times. We waited on every hole for at least one 4 some to tee off and sometimes two. As for course conditions, huge areas of missing grass. Wish i had taken pictures.

Horrible conditions
We flew in from out of state and booked online. The course was one of the worst courses we have ever played. The course was rin down cart paths were destroyed. The greens had mud patches in the greens there was new sod on the greens that you couldn't put through. There was not a mention of any of these terrible things. The price was still 100.00 a round and we had to pay for range balls.

Eh course
The greens at this course are an abomination. All are poorly/inconsistently paced and most have bald patches exposing the bare ground underneath. That being said, the fairways are all in pretty solid condition and for the price, it really is a fair deal. Played 3 times over the last month and will most likely play again. Overall is a okay course, especially for beginners. Just poorly maintained especially for what is prime season

Just awful
Its old school golf if by old school you mean all argronomy done by goats including greens mowing just atrocious. $80 will get you better golf and facilities.

For the most part the course was in average condition, but the greens were in better that average condition.
