Lookout Mountain Golf Club at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort receives distinctions: Golf Digest placed it among the top 450 U.S. public courses, and it regularly features among Arizona's best 25 golf course. It doesn't hurt that the golf club regularly hosts eye-catching affairs like the Harmon Killebrew Invitational, the Royce Clayton Charity Classic and the Phoenix Suns Scramble. The golf course itself offers lush greens that entwine with the Sonora Desert's terrain, which the golf club says it carefully preserves, and features 18 holes of championship golf in tandem with magnificent scenery and plenty of challenges.
There's a fairly good chance that golfers will catch sight of a quail or coyote out on the Lookout Mountain Golf Club at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort, and management asks that layers give the critters the right of way. In order to ensure golfers' shots go straight and don't snag in a cactus or chuckwalla, the club offers both individual and group glf lessons. This is also a place to enroll in the Hilton Golf Academy.

Dont let the first 6 holes mislead you.
The back is very good and quite difficult.
Number 9 is a poor design but a few of those on most courses. We like the course.

Not a good value; not a great course.
Expensive even by Scottsdale standards for what you get. Course is scrappy looking. Lots of bare ground as hazards - not a rock or shrub. Tee boxes were a mess, especially on the Par 3s. Fairways pretty hacked up. Very easy course. Carts and 9th hole turn had very limited selections. No sports drinks, etc.

Great Course
2nd group off in the morning. Played from the back tees ( blues). Course was in great shape. Challenging layout with some tight fairways and a couple of long par 3s. Pretty small greens very hilly beautiful course. You gotta hit it straight on this course glad I brought my A game this morning had a blast. Great friendly staff. Will definitely play this course again when in Phoenix.

Cart path only
When we got there we were told cartpath only, it was not said or in any other information before hand when the teetime was made. Everything was green and plush so I’m not sure why it was cartpath only.
This is a hilly course and was difficult having to walk all the way across the fairway and back up the hill. I played with two older people that almost didn’t make it through because of this.
I think you should be informed when making the teatime about any special circumstances so you can decide if you want to play or not. Otherwise the course is in great shape ,greens were nice, quite a unique and somewhat difficult course due to the Carrie’s to reach the fairways on some holes

Thank you for taking the time to review Lookout Mountain Golf Club. It's typical for every course in Phoenix to be cart path only for 3-4 weeks after overseed. We do inform every golfer, whether booking over the phone or online so that no one is surprised when they arrive. In your case, you booked online through Golf Now and there was an Alert to inform of cart path only restrictions. We hope to see you again!
Good challenging course
Well designed course with good mix of long and short holes. Fun course to play well defined golf holes.

Great course and great condition. Challenging. Only thing is that bag staff didn’t take any covers off clubs when they were suppose to clean them.
