Lookout Mountain Golf Club at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort receives distinctions: Golf Digest placed it among the top 450 U.S. public courses, and it regularly features among Arizona's best 25 golf course. It doesn't hurt that the golf club regularly hosts eye-catching affairs like the Harmon Killebrew Invitational, the Royce Clayton Charity Classic and the Phoenix Suns Scramble. The golf course itself offers lush greens that entwine with the Sonora Desert's terrain, which the golf club says it carefully preserves, and features 18 holes of championship golf in tandem with magnificent scenery and plenty of challenges.
There's a fairly good chance that golfers will catch sight of a quail or coyote out on the Lookout Mountain Golf Club at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort, and management asks that layers give the critters the right of way. In order to ensure golfers' shots go straight and don't snag in a cactus or chuckwalla, the club offers both individual and group glf lessons. This is also a place to enroll in the Hilton Golf Academy.
That's before the round at the Lookout Mountain Golf Club, though: Afterward, mosey on back to the 19th hole, called the Pointe In Tyme, for the drinkables and eatables.

Good conditions
Fairways and greens in very good condition for late August in the Valley. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Resort tournament was very slow in front of us.
I would play again, with acceptance, er tolerance, of many target-layout par 4s balanced by good conditions, fun par 3’s and accessible risk/reward par 5’s.
Vision of Beauty
The course was in fantastic shape from Tee to Green.
Great Course
Course is beautiful and in great shape. Lots of desert carry off the tees, hit it straight or you'll be visiting the rattlers in the desert....
Good bang for your buck
For mid August, course in very good shape. Greens in decent shape, held well. Lots of cool views from many tee boxes.
Beautiful scenery and course
The greens and fairways are very nicely manicured, however the bunkers need attention.
Great day at Lookout!
Played Lookout Mtn this past weekend and it was a great time! The area had some significant rain and damage from a storm the night before and the grounds crew was able to get the course in good shape and playable for a Sunday morning round. Kuddos to Lookout Mtn and staff!!

Solid Course
Course is in solid shape for August. Greens rolling fast and true. Fun and unique layout with some tough holes and some opportunities to score.

Course in Great Shape
Lookout Mountain GC is in very-good playing conditions, particularly during an AZ summer. Some tees need leveling, with some fairways a little spare in places, but greens held and putted true, with speed being fair. Sand traps (and I visited a few) were in excellent condition. Played as a single/solo in just under 3 hrs., playing through one foursome. Cold drinking water was available every two to three hokes. Overall, a very enjoyable time, definitely worth the 45 minute drive. Be advised that the practice putting green is closed for maintenance until October 1.
Great condition
Overall great course condition for middle of summer at 100 plus degrees outside. Definitely worth the price for the round.

Course is in good condition. Pace of play was excellent.
Surprisingly fast greens, hope the practice green will open soon!

Greens in great shape
Greens were rolling better than any course I’ve played in the valley for this time of year. Most fairways in great shape too, but some of the tee boxes and bunkers could use some work
