Lookout Mountain Golf Club at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort receives distinctions: Golf Digest placed it among the top 450 U.S. public courses, and it regularly features among Arizona's best 25 golf course. It doesn't hurt that the golf club regularly hosts eye-catching affairs like the Harmon Killebrew Invitational, the Royce Clayton Charity Classic and the Phoenix Suns Scramble. The golf course itself offers lush greens that entwine with the Sonora Desert's terrain, which the golf club says it carefully preserves, and features 18 holes of championship golf in tandem with magnificent scenery and plenty of challenges.
There's a fairly good chance that golfers will catch sight of a quail or coyote out on the Lookout Mountain Golf Club at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort, and management asks that layers give the critters the right of way. In order to ensure golfers' shots go straight and don't snag in a cactus or chuckwalla, the club offers both individual and group glf lessons. This is also a place to enroll in the Hilton Golf Academy.
That's before the round at the Lookout Mountain Golf Club, though: Afterward, mosey on back to the 19th hole, called the Pointe In Tyme, for the drinkables and eatables.

Lookout Mountain is a very nice course!
Lookout Mountain is a very nice course! LMGC provides you with the perfect blend of a traditional golf course and a desert (target) golf course. It provides a significant challenge to players of all skills
Interest Course
Not a huge fan of the course, glad I played it. The layout is okay, some straightforward holes others blind shots. I enjoy more traditional courses, this one is not. Conditions were good, staff was excellent.
A very good course
The course was in great shape especially considering summer in Phoenix. The fairways were nicely trimmed and the greens are in good shape. There are some really nice views from elevated tee boxes. The only problem was the cart brakes didn’t work too good when parking on a hill. For a course this nice the carts should be in prime shape. Nonetheless I recommend this course.
Exceptional Golf Course
Lookout Mountain Golf Course, located at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort in Phoenix, Arizona, is a true gem for golf enthusiasts. This par-71 course offers a challenging yet enjoyable experience for players of all skill levels.
Course Layout and Scenery The course layout is both interesting and diverse, featuring a mix of resort-like and dramatic terrains. The lush fairways and large Bermuda greens are well-maintained, providing a smooth playing surface. The elevation changes throughout the course add an extra layer of challenge and excitement, with some tees elevated as much as 175 feet from the valley floor1. The stunning mountain views and tropical landscaping around the tee areas and water hazards make for a picturesque golfing experience.
Fun course all around
Course was in good shape considering all the hot weather we’ve had this summer. The rain over the weekend helped. Course has always been fun to play and the staff really takes good care of you which for me is a very important amenity..
Lookout!!
Not worth the money. This course was in awful shape. I know it’s summer in Arizona, but other courses I play have figured it out. I used to enjoy playing here in the early 2000’s; I won’t come back. Better value elsewhere in the Phoenix area.
