The Arizona Grand Resort (formerly known as Phantom Horse Golf Club) boasts a challenging golf course, blending desert target golf with traditional links, playing par-71 over 6,336 yards, and a 7,000-square-foot practice green with a bunker and chipping area for a pre-round tune-up.

After a round at Arizona Grand Resort, head to an onsite drinking or dining spot: there's Mexican food, and then there's Southwestern dancing, and then there's a sports bar so you can catch up with someone else's game indoors or outdoors on the patio.

The Arizona Grand Resort also offers several packages, ranging from stay-and-play to family deals to getaways for women to romantic suite packages, complete with breakfast in bed.

Too many blind spot and too short

Course was nice but it was next to not so good apartment and busy street. Very noisy in certain hole. Very short with too many blind spot. I must think very hard to place again at this course spending $200.00 The greens were very sandy and not pressed at all.

Good value and convenient location

The greens are definitely an issue and they were a bit rough, but for a twilight rate of under $50, you for get a fair bit of bang for your buck. The course isn't too taxing and you do not need to be a long hitter, but there are plenty of hazards to keep you on your toes. We started at 2.40pm and got through 14 holes. We could have done 15 and, without a fairly slow group ahead, we might have finished. I can see how pave of play might be an issue for some, but I was quite happy with it.

Not what is used to be…

Played here in the late 90s early 2000s a lot. Course up keep is not what it used to be. Greens were covered in green dye or fertilizer. T boxes were a mess. Still had some cool holes, but value has dropped, as golf course is now likely an after thought, because they will always get dads staying at the resort who will want to play regardless of course conditions. Miss the mango flavored towels too.

"Resort-ie" but challenging

This course has a lot of variety in shot-making requirements. It is somewhat forgiving, as most resort courses tend to be, but if you get lazy you'll find plenty of trouble. At today's market for prevailing green fees I think this was a fair deal. Conditions were decent considering the current 6-month drought.

Excellent course

We had a great time here. 25% off breakfast was a good start. Front 9 is a beautiful resort style and the back is desert. Lots of hills and tricky shots. You don’t go back to clubhouse after 9.wShrooms were clean.

Pace of play was awful the entire round! Twice on the back nine, 3 groups were on a tee box.

The ranger did nothing to aid the situation.

Good value - gimmicky holes, no range

Facility was nice. Satff was great. Round took 4:45. Course was ok. Too many blind shots and gimicky course layout. Biggest turn off was no driving range, just an old netted area that you needed to pick your own balls.

Would have been nice to hit a few balls on a range. I got a good rate and am ok. The staff was really customer oriented. Met a couple of nice gentleman. Had a great round even though I couldn’t make a putt
