Arizona Biltmore Golf Club - Estates Course
About
Some consider the Estates course (formerly known as Adobe golf course) at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club to be grand and stately, a prime example of golf course design in the pre-modern era, combining rare beauty with solid trickery. It makes for a round both relaxing and challenging played on lush 50-year-old fairways, with a spacious layout, reminding on of golf as it ought to be played: the glory days when graphite went into pencils and balls were only white.
The Adobe golf course at the Arizona Golf Club measures 6,430 yards from the white tees and comes in at par-71.
Due to the mild Arizona winters, the Adobe Golf Course at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club is open year-round.

Our cart
We had our gps boy work on our cart. We sent a message to change it out but nothing one came so we went and had to trade it in. Just kinda annoying but it worked out!
Great course
This is my second time playing at this course and I love it. Entire personnel were polite and professional. I have recommended this course to friends when they fly to Phoenix.
Great shape
The Estates course is in great shape from tee to green. Only complaint it’s back and forth and you hear FORE ALOT!! I would bet at least 1 person a day gets hit by a golf ball. Lots of back and forth and playing out of other fairways. Busy course even on a hot August day.
Chill
Yes, it's summer . Yes, it's hot in Phoenix. Yes, you can play a well conditioned course in the middle of Phoenix in three and a half hours - no sweat !
Tee off by 10 and you will be very pleased that pace of play will not be an issue. You will be finished before the higher temps arrive and will feel pretty good too .
The Estates course that has been redesigned by pro golfer and course designer Tom Lehman provides an enjoyable and restorative round on the original 1928 footprint. The course is very walkable in the cooler months. Course conditions are first rate, bunkers have very good quality sand and green speed and conditions are appealing to every level of skill. Have a cool one post round !
Course is in great summer condition
Great time out. Played golf with a few members. Course was in great shape. Thought the layout feels easy, reading the greens was much more difficult. Really enjoyed the round and the group I played with. The course was also wide open and we played 18 in less than 3 hours.
Pleasantly surprised!
Good condition and the course lay out was fun with nice tricky greens! Definitely play again. Decent greens and great bunkers
A fun time
The course was in decent shape considering its Aug in Phoenix. The fairways and greens were in good shape. The pace of play was a little slow but later in the day it’s expected.. The stage was very friendly.
A ranger would be a great addition
We realize that everyone's abilities vary, however, absent golf etiquette, a ranger would help greatly with pace of play when an entire golf course is being held up by one foursome. It would go a long way toward promoting happy golfers on the course while not impacting the one foursome's enjoyment. If anything, they might enjoy their round more because they wouldn't be faced with the stress of looking back on every shot and seeing someone waiting for them to hit. Absent that, The Biltmore golf was a fun experience.
My round at Estates course
I first played this course in 1968. I always liked it. The course is not that difficult but it has Donald Ross style greens and the greens are fast. The chipping is difficult for me but I like the challenge.
Course is wide open but holes are next to each other
Course will be set in mid July or August for sure get the price for what it is right now
Big Dissapointment
OK here is the good;
The New Clubhouse & adjoining restaurant is first class. Beautiful facility that looks out over the course. Staff was friendly.
The bad; IMO the decision to compress 18 modern golf holes into what was the old Adobe course was a huge mistake. Why not make a great nine hole course (27 hole resort facility) instead of shoehorning in 18 holes. Because of this (and other reasons), playing here is a not enjoyable & downright stressful - here is why:
• Tabletop greens that are rock hard & don't hold shots.
• Tiny tee boxes that are so hard you Need a jackhammer to get tee in ground
• holes are so close together - smallest mishit end’s up in adjacent fairway. Causing slow play
• Slow Play
• Areas of course where several tee boxes are close together causing confusion and safety concerns
• Dangerous – almost got hit by errant shots (twice).
• They charge over $100 to play here in the summer (peak time) – really?
• For local golfers – there are soooo many better choices out there – don’t waste your time or $$
Back to A New old course
This was a favorite course for my wife and I when we lived in Phoenix. We played the course again during a birthday trip back Arizona, it’s was completely redone and we enjoyed the new look very much. We would have stayed to check out the new Club house and restaurant but we had reservations elsewhere for the birthday dinner. Great Day of Golf!
Bring a helmet
course is great condition especially for the money, but the layout has golf balls coming at you from every angle
