Arizona Biltmore Golf Club - Estates Course
About
Some consider the Estates course (formerly known as Adobe golf course) at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club to be grand and stately, a prime example of golf course design in the pre-modern era, combining rare beauty with solid trickery. It makes for a round both relaxing and challenging played on lush 50-year-old fairways, with a spacious layout, reminding on of golf as it ought to be played: the glory days when graphite went into pencils and balls were only white.
The Adobe golf course at the Arizona Golf Club measures 6,430 yards from the white tees and comes in at par-71.
Due to the mild Arizona winters, the Adobe Golf Course at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club is open year-round.

Great for beginners but not worth the price
Simply put there are better courses for less money. Very simple layout and great for players who struggle of the tee (you have to try to lose a golf ball). Staff is fantastic and I can’t knock the facilities. Like I said the golf course is not worth the price tag.
Great Shape
Course is in great condition. Staff was courteous and professional. Played our round in under 4 hours. Overall, a great experience.
Depenable
Right now the greens keepers are struggling to keep things green here in AZ. Warmer weather and the Bermuda grass isn't quite yet out of hibernation. So yes there were some iffy spots but the greens were in amazing good shape. Really the only thing that plagues this and most of the courses in the area are hard as rock traps. Little sand and what sand there is gets over watered and make them very crusty or very wet. But unless you want to pay 3 times the price that's what you get.
Get some sand!!!!
Fantastic facility..... except my God....get some sand in the traps....ridiculous for a course/resort of this nature to neglect. Shot 78 and would have been 75 except for the crappy muddy hardpan traps... fix it!
Other then that.... get here.... fabulous place
Arizona Biltmore Adobe Course
Course was forgiving. A good course for those who sometimes are a little off center.
Adobe Course .. plain like the color
I would say if you get a super cheap tee time than it’s great for your money but the course itself it pretty average .. nothing exciting .. straight par 4’s Back and forth holes .. not much water or sand to deal with .. links course is much more challenging //
Classic Old Golf Course
The Biltmore is a classic old golf course. The buildings are old and classic. It is certainly an experience but with draw backs. The course is not in pristine condition and fairways are side by side so you constantly have other parties hitting into your fairway. The course is mostly flat.
It was fun to play because it was the Biltmore but it is not a”great” Course.
Old School
Staff was nice, ammenities were nice, carts were clean and new......But, that course layout was very boring, no sand in the bunkers and greens slow.
Much better in AZ
Fun golf course
Open fairways and challenging bunkers and greens which were tricky around the hole, and also slow that day. Fairways were dry and some weeds. They could use better signs for the tee directions. But overall a fun course to play and practice..Would go play it again.
Course was great - Staff amazing!
Went here to get 1-1/2 hours on range and left wanting to come back to play because literally every staff person I met had such positive attitudes about their work & were customer-service oriented. Booked on GolfNow for the next day & played (single) a stress free round completed in 3-1/4 hours. Enjoyed a late lunch @ restaurant. Adobe course is mature, mostly flat & has medium/large greens that were well contoured and not overly fast. Slight doglegs & wide landing areas for tee shots allowed me opportunity to salvage even my misses. This was a great place for me to play & enjoy my first round in over 3 months!
Biltmore has fallen down
I played this course some 18-20 years ago and it was great. The overall ambiance, with the course surrounded by mansions is great. The golf course is another matter. The fairway grass is sparce with lots of barren spots and lots of mud. The tee boxes are 2 on a 10 scale. The greens are the absolute slowest I've played in years although directionally true. It is sad because this was a fabulous course in its day. We are not yet in true transition season here, so that is no excuse. Other courses are pristine condition right now. We paid $84, which was supposedly a discounted price. At the Very Highest, this should be about a $39 golf course and it would lose out to some others in that price range. I happen to belong to a moderately expensive country club and played this with friends to save on green fees. We were all sorely disappointed! BTW, the staff seemed disinterested and boarded on rude. Really a shame....
Great course
Very nice course in beautiful condition. Very much a resort course. Got the rate via hot deals on Golf Now. Wouldn’t have paid the full price as there are nicer courses for the same price.
Average resort layout
This course is showing its age and a lack of upkeep, certainly not worth the walk up rate of $139.00, or the hot rate of $79.00. It is relatively short, 6400 yards from the black tips, with just about every hole dead straight with little character. The greens were slow, probably about an 8 on the stimp, which was surprising on a bright warm day in Phoenix. The “sand” traps were nothing but gravel and dirt around the entire course. This was a very disappointing experience when I had such high hopes with such a historic facility.
