Arizona Biltmore Golf Club - Estates Course
About
Some consider the Estates course (formerly known as Adobe golf course) at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club to be grand and stately, a prime example of golf course design in the pre-modern era, combining rare beauty with solid trickery. It makes for a round both relaxing and challenging played on lush 50-year-old fairways, with a spacious layout, reminding on of golf as it ought to be played: the glory days when graphite went into pencils and balls were only white.
The Adobe golf course at the Arizona Golf Club measures 6,430 yards from the white tees and comes in at par-71.
Due to the mild Arizona winters, the Adobe Golf Course at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club is open year-round.

course is in great shape
just a perfect day and the course is in excellent shape... too bad it is about to be closed for winter seeding. Green as can be and the greens looked slow but rolled out, played long this morning fairways and greens were pretty wet. Oh the rough is grown up almost rolled right over my ball twice stay in the fairways.
The course was in great shape, however the bunkers and speed of greens were below average. I would recommend the course as pace of play was above average.
Nice place
Very user friendly golf course, not difficult and that helps the pace of play. Never hunted for a ball and played as a foursome in about 3 hours
Az golf
We got this round of golf really really cheap. However I am rating this course as if I paid regular price. Course was in very good shape except for the bunkers. Some of them had standing water. Greens were in great shape with a medium speed. I would guess about a 10. We played behind a 4 some and we were a 2 some. They did not offer to let us play thru. Probably since I was playing with my wife? We still played in 3:45. Not many water hazards. Not a resort course but they do not ask a resort price. Well worth the Golf Now price
conditions
Greens were slow but rolled pretty smooth. Fairways were excellent
Abobe
Course in excellent shape, pace of play less than 4 hrs
best conditions in years
Other than the greens running from slow to fast
the rest of the course given the time of year
was a pleasant surprise. The only negative is
that we only saw the cart girl and that was on
the 15th hole
Thank you for coming out and playing the Adobe. We strive to provide the best golfing experience in Arizona and your comments help us tremendously address both the positive and negative experiences at the courses. Hope to see you out on the course again.
great conditions except for the bunkers
course was in great conditions greens actually rolled out and looked slow. the bunkers had water in them but there was no rain, hard packed never raked.
Thank you so much for your review. Your comments help us tremendously in addressing both the positive and negative experiences at the courses. We hope to see you again soon.
Good summer round
Great price and course for a summer round. Greens and bunkers were in good shape. The course is a little tight on a couple holes where greens and tee boxes are close to each other.
Glad you had a good time. Thanks for the review!
Great vistas
Enjoyed the game with my friends from Nebraska very forgiving course
Thanks for playing. Glad you and your friends enjoyed your time!
Only play if you get a deal
I played this course (adobe) on a GolfNow hot deal of $8, so I can't complain too much about it. But I will start off saying, I wouldn't pay more than $8 to play this course. There's no water on it - a gatorade bucket full of ice is all I saw, once.
The layout is traditional, but so squeezed that I constantly had people hitting off my fairway (and a few holes hit off theirs too) which caused delays. College kids running through sand traps without raking, many blind shots (I hit 3 into water that couldn't be seen), overbooked so I we waited the whole back 9, greens were taken care of, but nothing around them was.... I wouldn't recommend this course.
The only good thing about it is that there are nice houses all over, that might be why they charge $40 to play there normally.
Great summer value, includes range balls and practice area and GPS. Course is in very good shape, can play in summer in less than three hours. Staff is always friendly and accommodating.
Another great round at Biltmore
Adobe or Links course, the Arizona Biltmore is fantastic. Established course, mature trees, lots of grass.
"Classic" Adobe
As a ParkLand style example the Adobe is trully a classic. However of the several reviews I've recently seen, it is accurate that the course lacks a degree of definition. That entrants shots could be swiped into oncoming groups on adjacent fairways is a legitimate concern.
The lack of certainty of direction on the back 9 in particular just seems awkward to a few tee boxes. To be fair that Resort, a "Waldorf" affiliated property contributes to the 60 to 80k rounds a year played there so the green speeds are usually "sluggish" for protection & I get it.
Green complexes are elevated and do roll well/smooth as should be expected for the maturity of the place, and by the members. The BIG convenience of being Centrally located is ALWAYS a factor 2Us COP Residents, THANKS.
