Some consider the Estates course (formerly known as Adobe golf course) at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club to be grand and stately, a prime example of golf course design in the pre-modern era, combining rare beauty with solid trickery. It makes for a round both relaxing and challenging played on lush 50-year-old fairways, with a spacious layout, reminding on of golf as it ought to be played: the glory days when graphite went into pencils and balls were only white.

The Adobe golf course at the Arizona Golf Club measures 6,430 yards from the white tees and comes in at par-71.

Due to the mild Arizona winters, the Adobe Golf Course at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club is open year-round.

One of the best courses in the Valley for all items including price. The Biltmore courses have maintained their value and condition for decades and are always a safe bet. I live in Tucson and know when I need a place that will always be good, I go to the Biltmore. The staff under Dick Bates has always been consistent and remains incredibly personable and helpful over the years.

Local favorite

I always like playing the Biltmore Adobe, it is a traditional links style course. (get tired of desert golf) Course was in good shape and weather was nice. Paired up with a nice twosome. Wintertime golf can be quite expensive for the locals and I appreciate The Biltmore for offering affordable times for us.

Well worth it.

Played on Christmas day. Want to thank the staff for being there and being in a good mood. Every person I encountered was very cheerful and pleasant.

Got paired up w a nice guy visiting family and we had a blast. Course was a tad wet as it had rained a large portion of previous day, so it was cart path only. Not a huge deal as we were 2 of just a handful of players that day. Course (Adobe) was interesting enough and not terribly long so we played the tips. Greens were perfect despite receiving so much rain previous day. Pin positions were a bit sketchy for Xmas day, lol. My partner suggested that greens keeper was in a bad mood so he was going to punish us. From tips a handful of par 4's have some beef, 400+ yds, but even from tips most par 5's are reachable or nearly reachable. Beautiful 2 million dollar + homes on many holes, all in all a good day. AND if you are playing before years end (6 days left) spending $100 on merchandise in pro shop gets you a free round of golf, which I took advantage of. Ask the gentlemen in pro shop for details tho. I will return here for sure, great place with history and friendly staff.

Historic but kinda boring

It was fun to get out on this famous old course where so many Presidents and famous people have played over the years. It's immaculate but there is a back and forth sameness to the holes. It's great if your are Staying at the Biltmore because it's right there, but there is a lot of good golf course competition with 20 minutes in all directions

Last day for cart path only

The fairways, greens and rough were in great condition but the rough had not been cut so it could get a strong start before the "high" season. Lost 5 balls, but found six. This is an open course with majestic homes surrounding it and not much variation in heights or angles. Fun to see and play and quite a bargain on the last day of overseeding.

Negative experience

First the problem was with golf now's website which was partially down but functioning enough to charge me multiple times. Second the golf course was partially shaved in preparation for reseeding and third amenities such as as ice chest were not available. Not good!

Architectural surroundings are beautiful

First time playing this course (Adobe). Easy course layout that's located in the center of the Biltmore residences. Greens were a bit slow , but course was well kept, especially for late summer . Good value with the Golfnow rate, don't think we'd play here for full rack rate .

Sand Traps

Numerous weeds and un kept edges of the bunkers made the course look like a second rate facility. The sand in the traps had a lot of rocks which made it somewhat hazardous on a lot of shots. I was only in 3 bunkers and each time had to remove stones which I considered larger than a 50 cent piece.

Smoking "HOT" Deal

Scored a $26 dollar round for (2) on a Wednesday afternoon. This was a steal for this course. Great lay-out in an awesome part of town. Greens were in good shape. Wide Open finished in under 3 hours. If you see a sweet deal give Adobe a try!

Tee to Green

An enthusiastic staff gets you checked in smoothly and quickly. A quick stop at the practice range gets you ready for a relaxed day at one of the oldest courses in Arizona. Hard to believe you are in the center of town, so while your friends are busy working at their desks you are making quality time " playing" a gem of a course that will not disappoint. Everything from tee to green is in very nice shape. Cart service is frequent and refreshing. You will be more challenged by the subtle greens and effective bunkers. Your round will zoom by but the 19th hole will cap off your day.
