About
Camelback Golf Club features two courses, Padre and Ambiente (formerly known as Indian Bend Course). The Ambiente Course underwent a major renovation in 2013. Making the course more eco friendly was one of the major goals of the renovation in addition to improving the layout's playability for a wider range of skill levels. The creatively shaped greens offer a variety of different putting options that present interesting risk-reward opportunities. The renovation added 100 acres of native desert and grass areas that add not only beauty but also require a third less water. Rolling terrain is the defining characteristic of the Ambiente Course, from the undulating fairways to dramatic drops in elevation. There are five sets of tees with forward tees that have easier approach angles and no forced carried, allowing even beginners to approach the golf course with confidence.

Great track and great price
Must’ve got out on the best day possible but we were the only ones out there, paid a relatively low price, staff was awesome and conditions were pure. Can’t beat that summer golf.
Average PV course
Built in a a wash the layout on a long out and back .. no "turn" at the clubhouse for hole 9. The wash/water/hazard is always to your right. So if you are right-hander battling a slice or lefty hooking it.. this fact could make for a long day and several lost balls. Lots of subtle undulation in the fairways makes for fun shot making to avoid some pretty penal green side bunkers. Greens were in great shape. Effectively no trees or shade of any sort so as summer looms it's understandably fast and in areas the turf was pretty crispy.

Just outstanding- if I was to make a suggestion is that the three traps I was in during my round all three needed either more sand or deep raking as they are compacted and need some attention as this caused skull shots due to the bounce.
Besides that I still don’t understand why this course ranking isn’t in the top 5 public courses in the state!
Course was in great shape, greens rolled well. No complaints at all. Very pleased with the round.
Okay - Greens are rock solid
Like the ambiente - not too challenging as long as u hit straight - but Greens are green and no dry spot - Balls don’t stop… better be short. U will not find any pitchmarks -because Greens are rock solid
Staff is very friendly and supportive
Play here…often!
Really good condition and reasonable price vs other comparable courses in the area! Great value!

How this course isn’t rated in all of Arizona in the top 5 public courses just baffles me as a long time resident!
