Palm at McCormick Ranch Golf Club

It is not easy or fair to evaluate McCormick Ranch today. Yesterday we had torrential rain which closed the front 9 of the Palm Course and only the back 9 was open. That nine was very wet with standing water and the, traps were full of water.

I emjythe course but this was a tough day.

Course has nice layout and is in fair condition. Golf now rate was 25, $30 with fees. There are better values in Phoenix.

Did not see the food and beverage cart until hole 15. they lost about $40 of food/alcohol they could have been selling. Went in for a beer after round and bar was packed, no place to sit or stand so we just left. course was in good shape and pace of play was only 4 hours on a Saturday morning so very good.

Course was in pitiful shape. Can’t believe they even have a greenskeeper on staff. No way people work on this weekly much less daily. Might be new management or something but this is not the McCormick Ranch I remember. Better value at Silverado or even Continental honestly.

Would have thought for a Resort Course in Scottsdale it would have been in a lot better shape...

Don’t be fooled by the pictures. It’s a playable fun course but no where near the conditions in the pictures. The range is a joke though. It looks like the rough. Not worth the price point they are asking

The course has a few bare spots and some areas of casual water but was a fun course to play. Pace was good and we saw the beverage cart a good number of times which was good in this hot weather. There was a lack of available water around the course which is something I might prefer they address. Great staff all around and a great day playing!!

The course was in good condition for the time year. Greens are a little "rough" and fast but overall it is in very playable condition.

I always enjoy playing McCormick Ranch. They have two courses here and they are both very enjoyable, while very different types of courses. The staff is always friendly. The course is usually in very nice condition. And it just makes for an enjoyable afternoon or morning on the golf course. I would highly recommend these courses to any avid golfer.

First time playing this course. Will definitely play here again. A lot of water and sand on the front nine, less so on back nine. Great scenery! Course is well taken care of. I love courses that challenge me.

This is a flat basic course, which I don’t have any issue with. The course condition is sub par for the money. It’s and 35 to $40 track.

I have played this course on numerous occasions and it is in better shape than I can ever remember. The greens were nearly perfect condition, fast and true. . The traps are still a little suspect but again better than past experiences. My only complaint is that the tee boxes on the par 3's were no where near what the card stated. For example the 17th hole from the white tees is listed at something like 146 yards yet the tee box was a full 180 yards out.

It’s a massive tell when the backshop is more interested in you returning from your round to lightly rag your clubs with there hands out. Versus creating a great experience of for you from the moment you arrive. The young ones need someone to show them what high quality service excellence looks like so they have a point of reference.

Solid value. Greens all in great shape and with consistent speeds. A little dry in spots but otherwise great shape. Overall

Overall a nice course and challenging enough for me. The one issue was the traps. You would think they didn't know how to rake a trap. They were hard as concrete and almost impossible to get a club under the ball. Finally told my playing partner to fluff his lie with the rake before trying to get out.
