Mountain Shadows Golf Course
About
The executive golf course at Mountain Shadows Golf Club in addition to being an excellent course has the added benefit of having a picturesque location nestled in the foothills of Camelback Mountain, and it also offers views of the equally majestic Mummy Mountains. The oleanders and palm trees sprinkled throughout the course enhance the pleasant atmosphere. The golf course's 18th hole boasts beautiful views of the sunset during the twilight hours but the signature hole is the par-3 12th hole. It plays uphill toward Camelback Mountain and over a pond and brook to a double-tiered green that is well protected by bunkers.

Great course to work on your irons and challenging enough for any player
Sorry, couldn't t get the bars above to move. The staff was very friendly and the course was in great condition. We had a very nice time and plan on coming back and bringing friends with us. We thought it was good value for the money paid.
Great way to work on short game.
Despite a threat of rain, we finished 18 holes without a drop of rain falling on us! Sailed around the course in 2 and 1/2 hours! Like having the course all to ourselves. Course is well maintained. Despite several days of rain, sand traps were raked and soft, tho damp. This course was a great way to work on short game and begin the season before playing longer courses.
Scenic views
My wife & I enjoyed very much this excellent short course.
Well maintained , nice greens, very scenic . Wish we had brought our camera .
Will come back again , good value for the dollar.
Mountain Shadows Shines
From the driving range to the 18th Green you are surrounded in the beauty of the mountains including the camel. You can and should use every club in your bag.
fun course in good condition
challenging greens, tough pin placements.you must be accurate
to hit and stick on the greens.pace of play was good.overall
a nice executive course.
Fun Fun Fun
This course was really fun, Great practice for the short game and really is a gorgeous course. The backdrop of the mountains is true Arizona style!!
Very good Staff, well maintained course, Great Scenery, Lots of challenges.
The course is a short 18-hole circuit. The holes are often challenging with well placed bunkers and water hazards. There is only one hole worth using a driver on, the rest is all Irons/fairway woods. The carts were a little outdated, but everything else was so great that it didn't matter. We were greeted at the car, a staff member took our clubs and cleaned them and set them in the cart without a fee, or even being asked. The grounds are very well maintained, the views are incredible, it was a great experience overall. The Pro Shop seems to not be as well stocked with gear, but then again - we dont normally get our gear at the Pro Shops anyway.
Nice Par 3 golf course
The course was in good shape and the staff friendly. We paid $22 but I never looked in o the course enough until we arrived and noticed it was a par 3
Excellent Experience
Very tough greens. Excellent condition . Staff were great. GolfNow rate was exceptional
Little gem
We found ourselves looking for an executive course to play while on a bit of downtime in Phoenix. This little gem has a bunch of history and it's easy to see how at a point in time it was a desired place to be...(former Marriott Resort, rooms since closed, now Golf and Tennis only). The scenery is gorgeous and a relatively easy course to work on your short game. I'd play again and really enjoyed the experience.
Short but not easy
Could have played quicker but the pace was set by those in front. Pick your clubs carefully as target is the challenge and long could be into the next tee box - it is a compact layout. Greens roll true and make you work to drop it in - no give me's here. We had a fun day and enjoyed the challenge of this shorter course. Bring your short game and leave the driver at home.
A scenic course surrounded by homes. Bring your short game or hone your short game at this course.
Alot of short holes . 75 to 130 yards. Well maintained but used heavily. Your ability to focus on the shot is crucial on this course, Tight spacing of the holes and a fair amount of activety( maintenance crews and other golfers).
A REALLY GREAT EXECUTIVE COURSE. THE BEST I HAVE PLAYED.
THE COURSE IS TIGHT. ACCURACY VERY IMPORTANT. GREENS ARE FIRM AND VERY FAST. COURSE MANAGEMENT IS VERY IMPORTANT, ESPECIALLY WITH SHOTS ONTO THE GREENS IF YOU MISS ON YOUR TEE SHOT. GREAT WEDGE AND PUTTING PRACTICE. YOU WILL BE CHALLENGED!
short but challenging from back tees
this course is a good change of pace.small elevated greens make it a challenge$15 golf now greens fee made it worth the while. One negative is that it is an executive course and some of the players have no clue as to where they are or what they are doing.plum bobbing a put for 8 on a par 3 is hard to take
course in great shape; friendly helpfull staff 5* experience
after a short frost delay the staff got everyone off as quickly as possible with a great deal of friendly chatter. This is a challenging executive course that requires concentration on shot sele3ction
Great course to improve your short game..
Greens are well maintained....improvements needed on tees..not level.
This is our favorte executive course in the Phoenix area. We've played there many times.
A great short course with some challanging holes. Good course to play to sharpen up your short game. This coures is also very well maintained.
Great course! Highly recommend!
Great Staff! Very friendly and helpful!!! Beautiful course! Well maintained!
Best short course in town
This is the best exec course in Phoenix. Great conditions, greens were fast and smooth. Played in 2 1/2 hours on a Saturday at 11:30 tee time. Loved it, not a full length course, but if you are considering a short course, this is your best bet.
