Poor conditions
We came from Northern AZ (over 2 hours) to play golf and go to a baseball game. Played Starfire before, and liked the course. All the tee boxes were under repair and temporary tees moved way far forward. Par 3's were a joke. Course in poor condition. Practice green closed. Maybe I missed this, but it would have been nice to know the conditions. We would have chosen another course.
Very disappointing round of golf.
Not a good time to play, even if it’s cheap
Course is using temp tee boxes that are half the holes length which is whatever but the course is in bad shape too. Wanted to just leave about half way through cause it got pointless. I’m sure it’s a great course when it’s all set up and full length but for now not too great

Course should not be open
Sent off on the executive course for 9 holes and then no tee boxes on the back nine. Paid for a full course and got to play half of one... kind of. They should've shut down until done.

We are continually working to improve our golfers’ experience and summertime is the popular time of year for most courses to do their renovations and improvements.
This summer we are leveling all the tees and resurfacing with 419 Bermuda grass. We are excited to have improved teeing grounds for our golfers starting late-summer. We train our staff to keep our guests informed on the temporary tees and any other conditions such as aerifying that a golfer will need to know about. We also make sure the notices are posted for our online/GolfNow bookings.

Course is in terrible shape!!
Course is ALL riipped up! They should just close it while doing all these repairs.
If you weren't walking in muddy wet areas or water puddles .. you were walking in dirt !

Grumpy ranger
Ranger Ed refused to do nothing about slow play. They want rounds completed in 4 hours yet it took us 2 hrs and 15 minutes to play the front 9 and the back was equallyvso. Need a new ranger, guys. He's stealing your money with the lousy job he is doing. On a good note, the cart girl that day is hot!

Fishing in the water features
Please keep non-golfers off the course. Several persons were fishing in the water features. This is very annoying as they are in the line of fire.
Thank you for playing Starfire! Our apologies those pesky fishermen keep sneaking onto our course and get in the way of our golfers. They have no idea how dangerous a golf ball can be to their health!
We are working with our course rangers and the homeowners associations to deter their efforts.

Good day
Overall conditions were pretty good , some areas on fairways were dried out and greens were patchy but rolled true. Good value for the money though.
