Course Highlights
Troon North consistently impresses with flawless greens, well-maintained fairways, and a challenging desert layout framed by stunning Arizona scenery. Attentive staff and strong overall value make this one of Phoenix's top public course experiences.

About

Style Desert

Rating 73.2

Pinnacle at Troon North represents a stunning, challenging golf experience blended into the high Desert's natural beauty with steep arroyos, natural washes and forests of saguaros and desert foliage. Portions of some fairways are hidden behind boulders and hills. Huge greens surrounded by large bunkers and sloping terrain challenge golfers on every approach shot.

A round of golf on the Pinnacle Course at the Troon North Golf Club kicks off on a par-4 hole that measures 392 yards from the Black tees. Things get crazy long on the 16th hole, a par 5 that plays to 609 yards from the Black tees. By that measure, the 18th hole will be a cakewalk, at par-4 and just 447 yards from the Black tee to the clubhouse.

After finishing the Pinnacle Course at Troon North Golf Club, head to the Grille, which offers a view of others trying to complete the course you've conquered, as well as the desert.

Great course but I prefer Monument

Both courses at Troon North were incredible, I loved both and highly recommend both courses. The people working at the bag drop were very nice, the clubhouse was really cool and the restaurant had great food. Very cool putting green but the driving range looked like it needed work. No matter where you went you were hitting off of dirt. The grass was nearly non-existent. Worst driving range of our trip. Good thing the range doesn't reflect the courses because the tracks are awesome. I loved the views on both courses, Pinnacle felt like it had a lot of elevation changes, I loved the par 3s on Pinnacle and the bunkers were great. Many houses line the holes so if that makes you nervous, tone it back. Greens are very fast and very well maintained. You will love this course if you like desert golf. A must.

The Views Are Spectacular

My son and I have played this course a few times. The views on the Back 9 are stunning and stay on my mind for months after I return to the snow and cold of MN. The fairways are generous in size and the pace of play is perfect.

Good course for all levels.

Great desert courses, usually come alone but they usually pair you up with other golfers. Some are better some are worse but always have a good time and meet some nice people.

Outstanding Golf Course

Played with my 13 years old son who is a good player that can shot in the sixties not so rarely. I manage to play in the high seventies but this course is a tremendous challenge for the golfers, or at least for us Floridians who are not used to play in the desert. He shot 74 and I shot 86.. A lot of blind shots and you really need to keep the ball in fairway otherwise, it is gone amid the boulders and cactus. Every shot is a challenge. The course was in immaculate conditions despite the drought in Scottsdale area. By far the best one we played in the area, not to say in the whole Southwest region. Very nice and gentle staff and good food awaits you too.

Challenging Desert Golf

Played this course in the heat of the summer 2017. Played early in the morning but it was till HOT. Great clubhouse and very friendly staff. The course itself was difficult and had a bit of elevation changes along the route!

Condition was outstanding, greens ran fast and true.

I would recommend this course to anyone vacationing in the area and its not a long drive from Scottsdale!!

Great Greens

It was mid-september, course had heat issues, fairways seemed a little dead. Greens were still great. Course had beautiful views.

Renovation of Monument just solidifies Troon North ranking

For me, Troon North (price notwithstanding) has always been my overall favorite public golf experience in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, and the recent renovations on the Monument Course just solidify that ranking. When the course reopened late last fall, it didn't happen a minute too early. The new greens were perfect, as were the bunkers, and the fairways, rough and native areas were flawless, too. Combine this with a terrific design that keeps its distance from the homes on the sides of the hills and you pretty much have the ultimate desert golf experience.

Absolutely ridiculous to pay this kind of money and wait every shot

Absolutely ridiculous to pay this kind of money and wait every shot. I thought by paying more money That the pace of play would be better boy was I wrong if you don’t mind paying top dollar and waiting every shot then you’re gonna like the course

Best Golf Ever!!!!!!

From the moment you drive onto the grounds, you know you've come to a different kind of golf course. The attention to detail is ridiculous. You don't pass anyone without a friendly "hello".

The golf course itself, is immaculate. There is no such thing as a bad lie. The course architecture blends easily with nature. There are plenty of spectacular photo ops while you're playing(they probably don't want to hear that). The tees give your heart a shiver as you look out to the fairway. They are wider than they appear. The greens are quick, with subtle breaks. From the fairway, always take one more club than normal and you'll have the round of your life.

I could go on forever, but I won't. In short, if you find yourself in Phoenix, for any reason, get to Troon North and experience golf as you never have before.
