About
Great Eagle Golf Club, rated one of the most affordable golf courses in Arizona, is a championship course in the West Valley. Although it has a traditional design there are several unique and challenging elements that come into play such as undulating mounds that cause uneven lies and well-guarded greens. Water hazards also come into play on four holes. The golf course offers three sets of tee boxes so that there is some flexibility regarding levels of challenge, but overall the course is suitable for any player. The Great Eagle Golf Club, in addition to the course, also offers both a chipping green and a putting green.

Tough course, but a little pricey given the condition
Ok to play. Greens, and tees were good. Overall it more expensive than other comparable courses. Should be priced a little cheaper that the sister course (AZ Traditions) next door.
Awesome fairways
Awesome fairways and greens. Need some work spent on cart paths and signage to next hole.
Great Eagle
Course condition was great. Greens and fairway were in good condition. Cart paths need some work. Front nine is good golf and the back nine is great for the 7-15 handicapper. On the back tee shot placement is important as well as shot into the greens. Staff was very friendly and helpful Will go back their again.
A little rough around the edges
Fairways and greens mostly OK, but greens not rolling very true as it looks like they were probably slit seeded not too long ago… lots of wobbly putts. Anything off the fairway is pretty rough… some “true” desert features with rock, gully’s, mesquite, cactus — but a lot of just plain unattractive mud and dirt. Carts paths are terrible!
Ranger was friendly, other staff just kind of “there”.
Pace of play just a bit slow, but not terrible.
Better than the reviews would have you believe.
The greens were in really good condition, and the fairways were nice. It’s not Augusta National, and it doesn’t have to be. It’s a very decent golf course which was fun to play and has some pretty par 3s. To the contrary of many reviews I have read about this place, the grass was not patchy or missing, and the carts paths are more than adequate. Go see for yourself if you don’t believe me.
course was in nice shape, fairways & greens very good, only drawback was cartpath only due to work on the ruff
