About
Great Eagle Golf Club, rated one of the most affordable golf courses in Arizona, is a championship course in the West Valley. Although it has a traditional design there are several unique and challenging elements that come into play such as undulating mounds that cause uneven lies and well-guarded greens. Water hazards also come into play on four holes. The golf course offers three sets of tee boxes so that there is some flexibility regarding levels of challenge, but overall the course is suitable for any player. The Great Eagle Golf Club, in addition to the course, also offers both a chipping green and a putting green.

Local public course
Tee to green a great challenging track. Very little maintenance done anywhere besides tees fairways greens. Very sloping greens are a challenge. Couple extremely long holes especially for women. A $50 gem. Too many players put out close together so pace slow. Informed us that cart path only at check in. Never play that course like that as the cart paths are horrible.
The Great Eagle
The fairways and Greens are in very nice shape this year. The lady at the pro shop is always very nice. The course is one of my favorites in Arizona I’ve played a lot of them this one is the best for an affordable price. The only thing they could work on is the cart barn guy tried to make me feel stupid 😂 he talks too much. Other than that I made like 6 fantastic putts broke 90 for first time in a while the greens were that good.
Not horrible
Fairways and greens were in fairly decent condition. Not super well maintained, but not horrible either. I got a deal for $50, which I feel is a little high for this course. Sundance in Buckeye is cheaper and more well maintained.
OK Course
We enjoy playing this course but we are average golfers so the fact that the course is a little rough does not really bother us. Fairways and greens had several areas of thin to no grass. Simply moved unplayable lies to grass. Back 9 is in much better shape than front. Course layout is very challenging with not much room for error.
That all being said for the price we will be back.
Fun Course
Good challenge. Narrow fairways & lots of bunkers. Sloped greens but not too crazy.
Like golfing on a waste dump
Horrific conditions, pin placement were impossible on at least half of the greens, there was no chance chip unless you =were on the fairway - otherwise you were chipping off crabgrass/bare dirt and twigs, tee boxes were uneven, lots of obstructed tee shots, the driving range was rt next to one of the fairways, actually had balls just off the fairways. Hoses lined the fairways and tee boxes on multiple holes, very few flat areas. really dissappointed in conditions - they say don't drive cart on rough? what rough - there was virtually no rough - it was just basically dead grass/weeds.

The staff has definitely worked hard on this course. It’s much better than it’s played in the past
Great Eagle Again
The course was in good condition. Since it had just rained the fairways were pretty damp with not a lot of roll. The greens we probably in the best condition I have seen them for a few years.
Enjoyable round
We really enjoyed our round - played in about 3 and 1/2 hours.. course in good shape.
