Arizona Traditions Golf Club

Due to a morning frost delay of over an hour, our early afternoon tee time was pushed back about 40 minutes. Although you can't fault the course for the weather delay and they were actually able to shrink the delay as the day wore on, the pace of play was especially slow on the front nine. If not for a handful of groups dropping out at the turn, I doubt that we would have been able to finish our round before it got dark.

The course itself was in nice shape overall with the fairways being seasonally plush, the rough was rough but playable and the green rolled well but some of the pin placements were poor.

The pro shop staff was friendly and did the best they could to deal with the frustrations of the frost delay.

Was an excellant value through Golf Now and even though it was not a perfect experience, I will definitely be back to play. again

Not bad local course. Carts are older with no GPS.

The golf course was in good shape For the most part. The sand traps were horrendous, hard as a rock. Plus, they also had lots of rocks in them. Shouldn’t need to be worried about damaging your clubs when you hit out of a trap. The Fairways and greens weren’t very nice shape. Rough was consistent. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The pace of play was ridiculous. There was one par three on the front side that had four groups on it. No Ranger to be seen.

I have heard many good things about this course but the layout was not for me. I shot an 83 which is an average score for me how well I hit the ball today I should’ve been in the 70s. The greens were impossible to putt. Pen location on one hole was very tough too. There were many times you didn’t know if you should hit a driver or not because you couldn’t tell where the Fairway was going. None of the people in our group like the layout of the golf course.

Course conditions best I’ve seen here and I’ve played well over 50 rounds here. Staff is friendly, Kelly, Carl, and Pam are my favs!

Slow play for 14 holes, then it stopped. At a par three, one foursome on the green and 2 waiting when we arrived as a threesome.

I would not have finished the round due to sunset, so I departed.

The Marshall was sitting in his cart at the cart barn, said he would go check it out.

There were groups ahead of us playing a best ball format.

Our group was 2 women, a novice, and an old guy.

We still ended up wait at several holes for the group in from of to clear, so we could play. The groups behind us were delayed as well.

I’m not sure I would play in this situation again.
