Fun Straight Course
Played Randolph North for the first time. Course was in great shape with the exception of the greens. They were punched and still need 3-4 more days to bounce back. Fairways were in excellent shape with no brown patches that I found. Course is very straight forward and open, but could be boring to the more advanced golfer.
Traditional Course - Very Good
Desert courses have their lure, but Randolph North gives a traditional course experience where few such options exist in Tucson. With a course rating of 72.1 from the back tees (blue tees), it gives a solid challenge without being punitive. New management provide a very good experience. ++
Randolph GCa Good Bargin
Course was in excellent condition. Greens were rolling true and fast. Generous fairways, with strategic hazards. Good test of golf. Fun layout. Good value at GolfNow discounts.
very nice course great price
very nice very happy excellent price for great course
Return to Randolph North
This was my first round since 1995 when I used to live here in Tucson. I was pleasantly surprised to find a much improved course! Course conditions were excellent, fairways, greens and bunkers. I will definitely be back to play Randolph North.
Course look
Course looked great ... Weather was awesome . Pace of play was smooth . Thanks again
Randolph North
It was a pretty good round. The wind was up a bit which added to the challenge. Food cart didn't have any sandwiches and the snack bar was out of hotdogs and brauts. Greens were fairly good, but a little slow. Overall, we enjoyed our round and had a good time.
Pleasantly surprised
It was a nice surprise when we got to the range to actually hit off grass but the best improvement was NEW RANGE BALLS! Saw some other changes as well. The little snack building adjacent to the pro shop that has been closed for years was open. The course was in great shape from tee, fairway to green. Still a lot of hard pan and bare areas off the fairway and around the greens but nothing that would stop me from playing Randolph again. I was in two greenside bunkers, they were in good condition. Pleasant day.
great
Great facility and it' good to see the course being brought back to life
Excellent course in an urban setting
Well kept and well organized. Despite many players we finished 18 holes in just over 4 hours.
Starter did us a bad turn by partnering with U of A women's team golfers who played the course under par. We were lucky to break 100.
A good morning for golf
We were a bit late teeing off because of the crowd but it worked out ok, we finished in just over an hour. Green were fast and the fairways in great condition. We enjoyed our morning.
Great round of golf on a perfect day
I enjoyed playing Randolph North very much and will play there again. The course has just the right amount of difficulty for me as a 18 handicap. The weather was great, the course was in great shape (very green and lots of trees), challenging greens, and there were beautiful views.
First time this year
This was the first time I had played Randolph this year, after hearing about the new management and the fact they just hosted a PGA qualifier I thought I'd give it a try. I have to say there have been some changes. New carts with GPS was the change that stood out for me. The driving range was typical, hard pan lies and over used golf balls. The greens were nice, the fairways were in great shape and the tee boxes were ok. Many areas around the greens were sparse grass and if there was some it was in clumps. I was only in one sand trap near a green, it was dry, hard, but when I dug in I could see there was plenty of sand. A little TLC in the traps would help. The pace of play was the biggest draw back. For a course that isn't long from green to tee 4.45 hours is a bit long. No ranger. I'll give it another try before I recommend playing, maybe this was just a bad day.
Wide open!!!!
Nice course for the money. I live in San Diego and we expect good quality. So I thought this course would be dry and the fairways not kept up. It was the total opposite... Fairways well maintained and greens in good condition. Overall good course for the money when offered on Golf now.
The course was average.
Fairways were in good shape. Lack of water was evident. Slow play was the norm for the day.
You want people to leave happy
The speed of greens with hole locations as they were might have some very frustrated. The more senior clients which are prevalent in this season would favor a tad bit slower greens. It will also speed play I think. I wish you well.
Great course
Worth every penny.staff was real friendly.beautiful golf course
Wow what a difference
I've been playing this course for 18 years and it's never been in this good of shape. The fairway grass is so nice it actually looked like fake grass!!! Whenever I hit a shot and took a divot I felt great pride in walking over and picking up my divot and putting it back where it was and using the sand and seed mixture generosly all day long. It's nice!!!
new managemet
the staff is making significant strides in restoring the past quality of the course. Two years ao I wouldn't play here. They are back on the radar of places worth playing.
Oops! Correction. I meant to say just over four (4) hours. Sorry about that.
