Rude staff. No need to go back. Course just isn’t that good.

Last time here I thought it was ok but needed some tlc and would be pretty good.

Course is worse. Greens like lumpy carpet. Lots of burned out patches in the fairways and too many different grass varieties. Got terrible lies in the middle of the fairways.

Needs goats and a reseeding.

I was treated quite poorly by the older silver haired man checking me in, not just once but twice in one week. He spoke to me in a loud, condescending, abrupt tone. very disrespectful. very unprofessional, I'll never go there again based on my experience with that one person. too bad, I am a local, a real local and every golfer I know will hear my story.

Great course lots of different elevations beautiful views bang for the buck probably the best value around Monterey Carmel

As others have commented, the fairways were dry and hard. The greens were well maintained and played true. Some Tee box elevations were a bit askew but overall the course was challenging and enjoyable to play.

We play here often. Good lay out. big, wide fairway make it fun for everybody to hit a long drive. Greens are ok. Fairway moderate. Beautiful course.

Rode the Blues (6013/69.6/126) in 3H, 45M early afternoon. Played as a 2some on the front, then as a 3some on the back. Breezy, sunny and around 70 made for great golfing conditions.

RTJ Jr/Sr. design. For those of you in So Cal familiar with Elkins Ranch, this is the Monterey version of Elkins. Par 71, not very long with plenty of holes that curve surrounded by large, mature trees. Constantly up/down hills. You either started with an elevated tee shot or ended with an approach shot to a very raised green on almost every hole.

Tee mediocre, but they were doing a good job of filling in divots.

Fairways and rough a mixture of grasses. Much more thin than lush, but decent coverage throughout.

Sand traps were poor. Not well maintained.

Greens were excellent. They were recently top dressed, which did not affect play. Smooth, medium fast and very receptive to full irons shots.

Basic carts did not have GPS. No on course services. Round was prepaid, so quick efficient check-in. Regular GN price was $56, I used a 30% off voucher that made it more reasonable. Not worth full rack rate with just okay playing conditions IMO. However, this is a very fun course to play. Recommended, but not at full price.

Loved the course. I had not played there previously. I"m a new golfer (as of June 1, 2020), thank you COVID! and have been playing at Pacific Grove Golf Links, another great course.

I loved the new challenge, the elevated tee boxes, the circuitous routes, and playing within the white oak forests.

I will be back! Appreciate the hot deals

Fun course with a relaxed atmosphere and nice elevation shifts.
