The Bayonet at Bayonet/Black Horse Golf Course

Great layout, it’s a shame they are building all the houses between the fairways. The course won’t be the same.

This way our first time playing this picturesque golf course.. From the white tees, it was a lot of fun for a 15 handicapper. The layout is very fair, with generous fairways. You certainly get a ton of roll from the hard downsloping fairways. The greens are a little shoddy being super fast. Overall, we had a ball here.

It’s always a challenge playing here. This time the fairways were a little rough. Not terrible.

I loved this course, beautiful layout and views. Greens are super fast. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars across the board was because the greens had a bunch of pine needles on it due to the crazy winds. Not the staffs fault

When we teed off it was wide open. Saw no one until the 11th hole a 5 players. The marshals came ou split the group and got slower. Played nine one hour and a half last eight 3 hours marshals should have returned to check progress but no show

Course condition lacking severely. I’ve live here 20 years. Last few years conditions not so good. Especially fairways. Great layout. Fairways so bad you can’t play the ball down.

I’ve played both courses over the last several years and nothing has changed.

They are fantastic courses that challenge you and make you appreciate the game of golf.

Hats off to the director of golf Patrick. What a great job his team has done to preserve an incredible venue! This facility will definitely not disappoint you. The transformation from the old days of overgrown Monterey cypress trees is over with. The course is still tough but for the guy/gal from 5-20 index will enjoy the courses. For the low index, the tips will challenge you skill fit target golf. This was a top tour track for the bi.com days and still holds true to its difficulties. Price point is perfect and really, low in my opinion however, if you get the chance to play here, it will be the best money you’ve spent in golf! I’m a 0.9+ index and the course had me struggling to par out! Great place

Bayonet is in rough shape but not horrible. Fairways are patchy and the portion of the rough they cut wasn’t picked up so there was loose grass everywhere that your ball can hide under. The rest of the rough is super thick. Bunkers are blah and inconsistent but greens are good. I would play again but not for the full price. Also the clubhouse crew could be more pleasant. I’ve played every weekend for 4 months now and barely get a hello. The guys in the check-in booth are great!
