The Bayonet at Bayonet/Black Horse Golf Course

The highlight of Bayonet are the greens, fast, fun and interesting. The layout is fun and the fairways are in very good condition. The green side bunkers are variable. The new white sand is great. The bunkers with the old tan sand are ok, but need to be replaced with the new white sand. As they space out the teee times, the place of play was great, we finished in 4 hours, never rushed and almost never held up. The course needs to have shoe spike cleaners installed on most if not all holes. Overall great experience.

Have played Bayonet many times under a lot of conditions. When I asked the guy in the pro shop before the round how the conditions were on the course, he said "great,"

Instead we got several fairways, Holes 1, 10 and 18, where the fairways were punched and heavily sanded. A lot of the bunkers were dug out and not playable. This is not a good look for a golf operation that has increased its golf rates on Golf Now to much higher levels. At the very least, the guys in the pro shop need to be honest about playing conditions.

Great layout, course was in great shape. Pace of play was slow and should be addressed throughout the round.

The fairways had numerous places where they were overwatered, and the fairways were also plugged. Otherwise, the course was in very good condition.

We never saw the food and beverage cart in all 18 holes there was no place to clean balls or irons at the course same with restrooms

Pricey for non residents

Just one of those courses you must enjoy if in the area.

I played the Bayonet course and from the very beginning, I couldn't get over how perfect the fairways and greens were manicured. It almost felt like everything was artificial... even the trees.

Definitely the greens and bunker placements were the challenge. Most all of the greens were edging off on many sides, creating little false fronts. Many of the greens had undulations running through them. They were definitely not flat and level. It was a challenge.

The bunkers were strategically placed forcing you to think about your shot a little more. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience. I'll definitely be back! I want to play Black Horse next....

They are working hard at bringing this great spot back to life again! Had so much fun playing here!

I traveled 3 1/2 hrs. to play this course and it didn't disappoint. Tight fairways and lots of fairway bunkers to challenge your tee to green accuracy. Fairways were plush and greens were rolling good . . . I'll definitely be back soon!
