Legacy Golf Club

Great round, awesome layout, beautiful landscape, and awesome facility. Only negatives was the beverage cart girl left for the day and we still had the back nine. We also had the world's slowest foursome in front of us, no ranger to speed up the process. Aside from those little things easy 9.7 out of 10. Would recommend and will be back to play again!

Course was so mismanaged that 2 groups jumped in front of us on front, causing a 2.5 hour nine. Walked off course at start of back 9 when another group jumped in front of us. Asked for 9 hole refund and said could not because paid through Tee Off

Challenging, but not overwhelming. Forgiving, but a lot of traps. I enjoyed it.

Quirky holes. Fairways were either good or terrible. No inbetween. Pace of play was terrible. Zero Marshall’s to push pace. 5.5 hour round.

I play 40 -50 times a year on GolfNow - this is the first poor rating I have ever given- mainly because as someone retired from the business - I know its hard but …

Cart had ripped seats and a mon working brake

Starter was beyond miserable

A playing lesson was allowed to be on the course ahead of us ( starter was aware)- u can imagine how slow

No Marshall at all on the course

Halfway closed - comfort station had no ice and a cooler with old warm water on a a Tuesday 2pm 88 degrees out

Golf course is in rough shape - greens sprayed green in some spots

Pay a premium fee and they ask to pay for range balls

If this was a course charging less - then u can accept some issues but this course charges $135

If there w as ever a course that deserved to go under and reset - this is it - too bad because this is an Palmer signature course with some great holes

This is not sour grapes cause I already spent the $$ - its a warning to all to not be fooled by the BS ratings on this course

We love Legacy! One of our favorite courses in Sarasota area. Tremendous layout with some spectacular holes . We love the layout and so do all our guests that we are taking there. Have played it for over 10 years and in the recent years the greens have been terrible, bumpy, burned out and even the sand on the greens couldn't keep the ball rolling smooth. Very disappointing for such a terrific golf course.

The course is challenging and beautiful. The service is below average. No one informed us to pick up balls at the front desk for the practice (to be found whole there). Carts are in bad shape with no gps mapping . Our cart died on us on hole # 5! We called twice and only got a new cart 45 minutes later ! If it was not for the golf course I would not recommend this course compared to what we experienced in other golf course in the area.

Doesn’t Legacy have an irrigation system? Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in better condition when I played the course back in July & August. I felt like I was playing an average course from up north. Not to mention my cart only made in through 12 holes. Overall very disappointed. I will not be back until ai hear that updates/improvements have been made!

The elevated tees, the distance of cart path to greens and the moguls/sandtraps around greens were all a pain in the !@#. Water containers at restrooms were empty and we teed off at !:00 pm. But the course is in great shape compared to other courses in the area and has a fun layout.

The course it’s self is so so good greens in bad shape not good at all same as the fairways need water dry patchy tee boxes not good

Legacy has always been a decent public course. But this time the course had a lot of dry spots in the fairways and tees. About half the greens were in good shape. The driving range had very little grass. We were mostly hitting off of dirt/sand.

This was the first time I've played Legacy in the winter. It hasn't rained very much so maybe they're not turning on the sprinklers? Also, being wintertime, the course is getting a lot of play.

Would I go back? Not with University Park nearby and at the same price. The three star rating is because I've played it when it was in great shape. Otherwise, it would be two star.

Took 4 hours and 15 minutes to play 13 holes. Ranger claimed he was on it then complained how he was having a bad day. Called pro shop after 3 holes took 62 minutes...guy was more interested in my cart number so he could verify...oh so we're lying?

As we came in the 4some 3 tee times ahead of us were approaching 16 green and NO ONE on 17 and 18.

It''s a shame because Legacy really is a great course. Fun and challenging and it was in good shape. Practice facilities are warmup only.

I'd give zero stars on pace of play and staff friendliness but not an option.
