Great layout and very challenging holes!!! Wish the play was faster----a 5 hour round! Will always look forward to the challenges this course has for enjoyment and frustration!!

It was our first time playing this course and consider it one of our favourite courses in the area. An excellent challenge with some very tough target golf holes in the middle front nine. From the back tees this could be extremely difficult as there is a solid wind to consider. The greens are in the best condition for this area and time of year. Unfortunately, pace was terrible as it took almost 5 hours to play. A group stopped for lunch and messed up the pace without being put back. The bag drop, marshals fellows and bar girl were excellent (the good star rating) however, the Pro Shop staff were unwelcoming, waited 15 minutes just to check in and without any hello. Later the bar manager shut down service without prior notice of customers still sitting in the bar. Hopefully, new owners will help improve some of the service delivery.

The course was very wet and there were area of missing grass in the fairways. The greens had weeds growing and it appears the course needed some care

Great course and in great condition. However, we left after 14 holes as we had already been on the course for 4 1/2 hours.

Course is challenging from the Gold tees, and course conditions have improved considerably. We started at 1:24 and waited on every shot. We played the last hole in the dark. We thought we were behind a very slow group that would not let us through, but learned that it was backed up on every hole ahead of us. Don't know the reason, but appeared to be overbooked.

Golfed the course today. Loved the course (golfed there couple of times a year the last two years), but really were not impressed by the service.

We were two couples....guys about 7 handicaps, gals about 15 handicaps. We get together once a year while snowbirding. We were not expecting to play lightning fast round, and never had the folks behind us waiting, and until the last two holes always the group in front of us about a shot in front of us. Yet, twice the marshalls told us they were trying to move the folks ahead along, and asked us to make sure to keep up. Ah, ok.....not a problem for us as group almost always just ahead. Got in clubhouse and group ahead said marshall didn't say anything to them at all today, and seemed puzzled that they had spoken to us. NOT impressed.

Course generally in great shape. Love the big wide open fairways. If new to the course, there are two holes where you have no idea where to go from the tee due to doglegs. We understand that new owners will soon provide a course map on the card, and hopefully at the tee box. (Also a reason why rounds might currently run a little long if newbies playing).

Not quite sure why the course description here says "impeccable service". Course staff not hugely welcoming or smiling...except for a wonderful older gentleman ranger, the staff we encountered very unimpressive. As for course amenities, forget the sign that says "Snackbar" by the 1st/10th tee (which are quite a distance from the clubhouse)....nothing there. And, at 5:20pm today (Tuesday), when we finished our round no food service in restaurant. Really? Sorry....not exactly my definition of impeccable service.

Love the course....but not what we have come to expect from our other Florida golf experiences.

Have been playing Legacy for years and the recent change in ownership seems to have had some positive affects so far. Love the lunch and range balls included in greens fee. The greens were in the best shape I've seen them in 2 years. The only negative is they are swapping the front and back 9's, which is a good move, but a twosome ended up on both sides of us on the back 9 and it changed the pace. We waited and then were being hit up on.

Even though I have a high handy cap I found this course to be quite playable. I golf with a group of lower handicap players and was comfortable on the course.
My only negative comment the starter should put twosomes together to keep the play moving. Also a ranger on the course would help .

First time playing this course and was looking forward to it. The first five holes were the most difficult I have ever played. Lots of sand and water everywhere coupled with doglegs make for difficult shots. Back nine wasn't quite as bad. Not anxious to go back. Need your "A" game for sure!

The greens were not in good condition compared to last Time I played.

I brought 7 friends down from Pitts. , PA to play in Bradenton, Sarasota.
I wish I was notified by golf now of the course conditions of Legacy Golf & CC .
It was cart path only .
The fairways were soaked and balls plugged in 88* Sunshine. The fairways were uncut.
The greens were terrible and uncut.
To us the course was nearly unplayable.

The ranger told us 3 times to pick up our pace but failed to thank us for spending 20 -25 mins on the 1st hole pushing the cart girl out of the mud as she had her beverage cart stuck near #1 green.
Check the record that day , I have 3 other golf witnesses.

I've played golf all over the world including Scotland, and never experienced this .
Worst golf experience ever. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Played October 29 on guys golf trip in florida......

When we booked the course we were informed they were in the process of Aerification and had a price of $35 for round. The problem is the course was in terrible shape not due Aerifaction. The tee box were full of weeds along with most greens. The bunkers had very little sand and the signature 18 hole with the large bunker on the right side had rocks and weeds growing in it. It looked nothing like their beautiful picture they show from promoting this course. I was looking forward to playing, as this is a Arnold Palmer sponsored course. I would not recommend this course

This course is in terrible condition. I hear it was just repurchased but they got a long way to go in getting the crabgrass out of the greens & fairways. Greens are really not puttable. My guest was shocked & disappointed. Need I say more.

Course in transition. New owner. Was a 4 1/2 star, now 3. Bunkers rough, greens fast but not good condition Staff great!!
Hope to see improvements. Was a TOP area golf facility. Will play again!!

We were looking forward to this , having played it a few years ago. We arrived at the bag drop to be told " we are over seeding therefore you will be playing the back 9 twice !"
WE protested that we had not be told this when booking , to be met by "your choice you can play or not"
As we had prepaid we did not have much choice.
To rub salt into the wound the Mnanager gave us a voucher for a hot dog and drink only to find the reatuarant shut when we got in!!

The course has an excellent and challenging layout, however, it lacks the finishing touches the course needs to be a superb course. There was a great deal of crab grass throughout the course including many patches of it on every green. Made putting the ball difficult to say the least.
We hope the staff recognizes the urgency to remove this grass before the course is ruined.
