The River Club

While I acknowledge our 4some was a little slow. We were told by the ranger to pick up our pace on the 10th hole so we did. Then two holes later he came back in the middle of the hole and told us we were holding everybody up and had to pick up our balls on this hole and skip the next hole. The problem is the group behind us was nowhere to be seen so no we were not holding up any groups at that time. I totally get pace of play and we tried our best to play ready golf but I will not be back if this is how they treat a group that was clearly not holding up the group behind us after we were told to pick it up the first time. Also not a big fan that they wouldn’t give us a cart until our tee time.

My first round here. The was in very good condition given the amount damage they received. Very enjoyable round. I look forward to playing there again

Played for the second time in last two weeks. Very good layout and good condition. The pace of play was slow due to crowding in too many groups this last round (It was Black Friday, maybe everyone was avoiding the shopping!). Pace was good the previous round here.

My bad for playing the day before Thanksgiving no Rangers to speak of ... Foresome in front of us we're in their mid eighties slow as sin

The River Club is one of our favorite courses. However, on this round we ran into problems with the GPS cart rules, We were not informed about the yellow dot areas which the cart may not go over or into . When our partners' cart did this in error 40 yards from the green, the cart locked down. We tried many times to restart it so we could reverse it to no avail. After 2 calls to the pro shop, we waited 20 minutes (and let three 4-somes play through) for a ranger to arrive and restart our cart. The same thing happened again at a tee box when the cart was in the middle of the cart path! And again we let two 4-somes go through us. Finally, we managed to restart it. So, although this is a great course, the cart issues resulted in much of frustration and a 5-1/2 hr round!! The starter needs to advise golfers about the yellow OB areas and how to restart a locked down cart!

The course was good value and the whole experience could have been so much better except a threesome held up our group of four for 10 holes after we caught up on them too bad they didn’t let us play through.

Nice challenging course layout. Not long a time 5800 yards from the white tees but lots of water and narrow landing areas for the drive require some strategic play. Greens just a bit sandy but rolled well.

It’s a challenging course but the lack of Marshall’s to keep the pace. We were nearly 5 hours which is way to long.

The course was very nice with a great layout. Greens were all very well kept. Our cart began having motor issues around hole 11. Had battery power but kept jerking violently any time it tried to go uphill. By hole 15 we were having to get out and push it at least a few times per hole. We sent a message via the onboard system requesting a new cart and never got one. Barely made it back to the clubhouse. The rest of my group was almost finished with their first beer when we finally limped it through the parking lot. The course was good enough to outweigh the cart nightmare, I’ll play there again.

This was the day after heavy rains and the course was in very good shape fairways have been overseeded so the grass is nice and smooth the greens are in great shape the bunkers were either muddy or had water in them but considering the weather this was minor. The layout is good clubhouse has a full bar and enough to choose from food I will return
