The River Club

I believe this is one of the best maintained courses in the area offering a moderate price. We enjoyed playing the fairways and the greens were in good shape. It was challenging enough for a good golfer. We plan on returning with friends.

Got to the course for our tee time around 1:30pm hoping that we could finish before dark. Starter said they were running a little behind about 10min. NO we didnt get off till 2pm. As they didnt even have enough carts and had to wait for groups to finish.

They put a 5some out in front of us (Note this is a Saturday)). They were aweful and didn't keep up with the groups in front of them.. we were losing sunlight and realized we probably wouldn't be able to finish. At 15 we drove around and jumped this 5some to the 16th hole. There wasn't another group pf people all the way to the end. They were 3 holes behind the group in front. This is bad course management to do this and no starter out on the course.

Excellent layout overall fairways good green run true and small loved it. Only complaint is the tee times are over booked. We had a 1220 tee time and we could only finish 16 holes. Never saw a marshal moving groups along.

4:45 minute round with no Ranger is not cool. It’s the people that don’t have any idea about golf etiquette

I can play terrible golf in 4 hours if I am aware of my surroundings. Won’t be back until season is over.

Pay way more for aggregation is not my idea of fun

Biggest problem signage from hole 5 to number 6. Greens in good condition. Not a course for beginning golfers. My friend and I enjoyed our day at The River Clib and look forward to a return visit.

I really enjoyed the layout of the course. The pace of play was very slow, it took nearly 5 hours to play. to play. We waited on every hole, and on some of the holes there were 3 foursomes backed up to tee off. I would definitely play there again, but may wait until the snowbirds head north before I try it again.

Tees and fairways very green and somewhat lush. Greens were good but a bit slow.

Teed off at 1:08, skipped a hole, and finished at 5:55. Nearly unbearable. I would give TRC a higher rating, but the slow pace of play has to be fixed.

Course is in decent shape but extremely slow. Severely backed up on several holes. They just jam golfers in with no plan. Management / staff not friendly. Have heard this a lot from other golfers, but I tried the course and would agree with friends - - much better options in the area.

After 3 hours and 15 minutes I had enough and quit playing after 11 holesThere was 3 groups on the twelfth par 3.. I followed the course around thru 18 when leaving and there wasn’t an opening anywhere. Management moves people thru like cattle. Really bad experience.

Our tee time was 11:48. When the time came, there were FOUR groups on the first hole - on the green, waiting in the fairway, and two groups on the tee. It was well after noon before we teed off, and then the first few holes took a half hour per hole to play. Seriously.

A ranger came thru around the 5th hole, and he did not even make eye contact, nor acknowledge us so we did not get to talk to him about why it was so slow. .

I finally called the pro shop while waiting to hit on the 8th tee, to report how slow it was. There was no manager on duty, a man who answered the phone was not helpful.

It was after 3 o'clock on the 9th hole. We had dinner plans and decided to see if we could get a raincheck for the other 9 since it was well over a 3 hour per nine pace, making us very late.

THEN, our cart died on the way to the clubhouse.

A nice gentleman from the cart area gave us a push, apologized and said I'd have to speak to the pro shop to get a raincheck.

The man at the desk however was very disrespectful, and argumentative. He was having trouble with the computer then finally said since I booked through GolfNow they did not have my money, GolfNow did, and I would have to ask GolfNow for a raincheck.

I paid $150 for 18 holes for my son and I, and was only able to play 9.

River Club should have been happy to provide a raincheck for the whole round, based on the pace of play and the cart not being charged enough to last more than 9 holes.

At the very least, I am due a raincheck for two 9 hole rounds, from the course, or GolfNow.

The man at the desk said they had 250 golfers on the course so far that day. Clearly, they were more concerned about cashing in than providing a pleasant golf experience.
