First time not a charm!
Second worst course condition golf course I've ever played and I've been playing for over 40 years !
Nice day
Had a nice round, course was very wet from the rain a few days before. But an overall nice course for cheap money
review
Conditions fair but rate was good. Like the layout but some greens and tee boxes were kinda rough.
Oh, the potential this course has
Where shall i begin? The track of the course is very challenging. There is water everywhere and there are some nice doglegs. That being said, the rough is very bad. I lost several balls 10 feet of the fairways simply because the rough is not being maintained. I could see if i was way off but right next to fairways is ridiculous. The greens were adequate but need work as well. I overpaid even for golfnow. Clumps of grass in the fairways and palm limbs everywhere. A one and done for me.
Terrible course conditions
This could be a very nice golf course, there is no maintenance at all. They have neglected every part of the course.
The rough was long!
The rough was long and dificult to find your ball!
We played at a reduced rate - very good experience.
Rough golf
Course could be a real jewl if maintenance would keep the course maintained. The first cut of rough is very thick and about 3" in depth. Several lost balls in this rough. Fairways were thin in grass making for very tight lies. Amature as I am makes it very difficult to hit semi solid shots.
Solid value
Played for $10, excellent value. Staff is friendly. Course condition is poor. US Open rough, greens need work.
needs to be treated like sister course
the first i ever played this course was in the late "80's when this part of the development was just getting started.it was such a nice course with great conditions.it is sad to say the management is putting all the resources into the north course or so it seems.i played that course in may and except for a couple of greens it was in good shape.sorry to say the south is not being maintained as such, which is a shame because this course is not long but shot making is so important.lots of water running along sides of fairways and a great island par 4.course needs mowing of rough and better conditioning of bunkers is needed immediately.most greens are in good shape but there are a few where edges of greens need work.hopefully the management company running this course has the north course help in getting the south in better condition then there will be 2 courses worth playing at pelican bay,a very nice community in sw daytona
great course in daytona
the course seems to be situated in a retirement community so the residents play early freeing up the course for speedy play in the afternoons during the week. a friend and i played the course in about 3 hours. there were a couple of greens that had some dry spots but hey, which course doesn't in july.
Cheap practice
Can't beat my price, but not a true round of golf. If you get off the fairway the grass is 8inches deep. Has a definite pasture golf feeling, staff extremely nice, they just need to keep mowed better. Greens were in poor shape. What should I expect for 10$? So go practice s a little here, then go to a nicer course to play a real round of golf.
Decent place.
For the money the place was a nice place to golf. Course was maintained. Not busy, so pace was great. Bathrooms were rundown and some greens were spotty.
LD
This course was not as bad as I heard it would be. In my opinion it is a classic case of a golf course that looks like it could be very nice with some work but that it just is lacking in places. The houses that line this course are beautiful so you know it has the opportunity to be as well. The tee boxes had just been sprayed but they were not a problem. Had everything from open fairways to narrow, dog leg right and left. The biggest problems were the sand was more like clay than sand, the greens had sand and weed patches which made the roll uneven and there is water somewhere on just about every hole. For the discounted price on GolfNow it was well worth the time. I'd play again for the price.
Surprisingly Good Shape
The greens - save one or two- were xcellent and the fairways the same. I was pleasantly surprised at the overall condition and really like the layout
first out, quick round
I'll take a fast round over a good round any day!
Course was pretty wet from storms the day before. tight tee shots on most holes, greens were patchy on some holes but that's florida in summer. Liked the south better than the north.
Worse course I've played in years!
The greens were horrible! I could putt better in a cow pasture. Half the course did not have cart paths, and the little bit that it did it was like driving on the Grand Canyon. The restrooms were so nasty I would rather stop at a golden pantry store at 2:00am! The only good thing about the course is I'll never have to play there again!!!
Good day of golf
Nice course a few fairways & greens need work Water on 14 of the holes.. We would play this course again if we were in Daytona Beach area
