Deer Island Country Club

GolfNow has been very helpful financially to me. I enjoyed the round but because of points the cost was very acceptable. The course is especially difficult over water: I always under estimate the distance. The greens were fast and even though not domed, the were challenging.

Always find the course a challenge for precision play with an up and down conditioning history based on the seasons of drought, severe weather, or maybe changes in management that I’m not aware of. At this point in time conditioning is very good with uniform fairway grass, penalizing rough, and pristine greens. Only complaint was that the greens were frustratingly slow but still, very uniform to hold the chosen putting line after a firm stroke. Will look forward to the next outing.

This is a very nice layout that is in good shape. It’s challenging but fair. The only problem we had was a very hot, humid day, and there were a lot of blind mosquitos (non-biting). I played there a couple months ago, and didn’t have that issue, so I’m not sure what triggers them. It’s a nice course, and doesn’t seem to be very busy during the week, so good pace of play.

Great course. Challenging holes. The course is very well maintained. The only drawback are the pesky nats in the rough.

Greens were all the way back. Had some slow play ahead of us but they let us play through.

Bugs everywhere, mosquitoes by the millions. Need to spray. Same as last time and it’s getting worse. 2 holes almost unplayable because of bugs.

Course was really nice and a lot of fun to play. Only downside was course Marshall came by to tell us to hurry up when we stopped to get a drink with drink cart girl and we finished in 4 hours. Hard to play faster.

All good once again at my favorite course in central Florida, worth the hour drive!

This course is actually beautiful. I love the layout, but it is super challenging. Lots of water, so bring lots of balls

But the water and the nature that surrounds it is amazing.. So all kinds of wildlife, including a gator on 18. Would recommend to anybody

My 405 plan course absolutely love the course and everything about it. Greens are excellent shape, sand, chaps, excellent shape, Fairways plenty of grass the rough that’s where it gets a little dicey because there are these little Nats. I don’t know if they’re like a mayflies which we had back in the Midwest certain time of year or some sort of a little nap, very annoying . Love this course will probably wait a while before I go back. Hopefully the Nats will move on and my advice is to play it early in the morning while it’s still relatively cool when it gets very hot there’s not a lot of escape from the sun.

Great layout. I got matched up with some guys who tried to guide me around the course as best they could. Would be great if there were some instructions on how/where to hit your tee shot on 4 or 5 holes as the hazards intrude into some of the landing areas quite dramatically.

I love the golf course, but no one informed me of the conditions which there were incredible swarms of blind mosquitos. it was nuts. they were everywhere. We left after 3 very frustrating holes. Next time I book there I am calling first to check to see what the conditions are.
