Black Bear Golf Club

Course is always in great condition. Tee, fairway, green. Beautiful shape. Pace of play was really slow today. Too many foursomes playing slowly and not letting faster players play through.

Course is a real challenge. Very hilly and interesting course design!

Black Bear was in great condition compared to other local courses. The green were in great shape, the fairways were in great shape, and the tee boxes were great. Some of the bunkers were in the need for some attention, but the recent rains were the obvious culprit. The course can be challenging if you are not a pure fairway hitter....the bunkers will swallow you up.... I only wish they would include a course map on the score sheet, as it had been years since I played this course,...It was a guess on some holes as to where the flag would be off the tee, due to the elevation changes and hills/bunkers on the course. All of the tee boxes did not have the hole layout markers, or we just missed them..... so it was an interesting round....

I'm a novice golfer, so it was a struggle to hit any greens in regulation. With that said, I've never enjoyed getting my butt kicked by a golf course so much.

The terrain on the course was breathtaking, and the course conditions were very good. Most of the greens are smallish, and many are very narrow, so your approach game better be spot on.

The beverage cart stopped running by the time I teed off around 2pm because there just weren't enough patrons to make it worth the effort, but I was able to get a cart cooler from the bar filled with beer at a reasonable price, so I didn't go thirsty!

I can't wait to come back!

I haven’t played blackbear in years I’m glad it came out and gave it a shot again. Course is in excellent condition almost like a championship golf course.

Always an amazing course to play. Great playing conditions. Always in great shape. Greens were a little slower than normal due to the rain. Pace of play was a little slow due to folks not understanding allowing faster players through. Otherwise, never a complaint with Black Bear. Will always come back.

Black Bear was in really good condition. The greens were nice and rolling medium speed and true. The fairways were also really good, the rough, bunkers and tee boxes were well cared for. The course is challenging. Approach shots to the greens require precision on most greens to score well. Good course for intermediate to advanced players.

They keep the scores in such good condition, I can back at least once a week, with my son.

I have always heard that black bear was an excellent course to play. First time I played it yesterday and I have to say it is the number one well maintained course in this area that I have played it is well laid out fairly forgiving well priced and the speed of play was excellent for us. I highly recommend anyone that has the opportunity to play around need to do it.

BB is always in great shape and is a great place to play. Thank you for maintaining it and keeping in wonderful playing shape. Will always come back to this one.

Found this course online. Reviews were favorable and highly rated. Made the hour drive inland from the east coast of Florida to play. Course is in great condition with nice fairways and lush greens that held well struck shots! Greens rolled smoothly. Sand traps were raked and in good shape as well. Carts are newer and in good condition. Staff was pleasant and very helpful. Water is available on the course and a beverage cart roams the course. All in all, had a favorable experience and enjoyed my visit!

If your out in this area give it a shot. This is a challenge but enjoyable. Will be coming back.

I love the challenge of this course. If the wind isn't blowing anywhere else, it's blowing at Black Bear; that just adds to the challenge. The course is in excellent condition in all aspects.
