South/North at Fernandina Beach Golf Club

About
South/North is one of three golf courses at Fernandina Beach Golf Club. The facility is home to three distinct nines that form three different 18-hole combinations. Winding through thick forests of oaks and pines, Fernandina Beach Golf Club's South/North course offers a glimpse at native Florida wildlife. The South nine depends more on accuracy rather than distance while the north nine, the shortest in length of the three, features undulating greens. Water hazards also come into play throughout the golf course. Fernandina Beach's 27 unique holes are made even more appealing by the affordable rates and convenient proximity to Jacksonville and the beach.

Great day.
Had a great day out on the course! I was paired with an older gentleman whose game was similar to mine, which really helped keep a good pace of play. The course itself was in excellent condition, and the staff were friendly and professional. The level of difficulty was just right—challenging but fair—and well worth the price. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a solid round of golf.
Great public course at Amelia. In fact excellent shape.
Greens tee boxes and fairways were in excellent shape. The tees might have been cut a little high but maybe because of all the rain. All in all the course was excellent. Greens weren’t fast but were pure and rolled fairly smooth. Played the west and south nines. Only thing I noticed not great was the rough on side of some fairways was really grown up and had weeds. Other than that is definitely play it again. Worth the drive up from Jax.

I’ve been playing this course for almost thirty years and it’s probably in as good of shape as I can remember.
Fairway and greens in good shape
Fairway and greens were in good shape. They started off a little slow in the morning and sped up as they dried out. Course is nice and open with no real water hazards or danger of losing balls. Inteesnoff on time as a single and was stuck between two foursomes. Pace was about 4 and a half hours.
Always a fun course
Any golf on the island is a fun time but golfing at Fernandina is always a pleasure as the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
Good shape, fast pace mid-day weekday, solid conditions
I was a bit hesitant to book but got a great deal and it was well worth it. Greens are mostly in great shape and the rest of the course is in very good condition, plenty of run out if you hit the right parts of the course. Tricky to hole putts - have to center punch everything outside of 2 feet which was a bit odd. Otherwise a great value for money in the area.

A lot of work has been put into this course over the last year. It’s a nice course that is very challenging
Course in great shape
This is the nicest I’ve seen this course in the 7 years that I have played it.
