West/South at Fernandina Beach Golf Club

No pressure course. Good for beginners. Bathrooms on the course were filthy.

It’s an inexpensive municipal course. Staff is great, lunch/ clubhouse- superb! Great service- course needs lots of work. Walkers shouldn’t be allowed during peak times- extremely slow play, very frustrating.

Enjoyed playing 18 holes, was not crowed, greens were a little fast, had to take a penalty stroke on one hole........alligator wouldn’t’ move. Starter was helpful, we will be back.

This course will be great again needs care in fairways greens being reworked too. Great value though for Sunday.

As a 'snowbird" who just returned North, I played the Fernandina Beach Muni Course about 40 times over the past 4 months, mostly 9 holes at the Twilight Rate.

There is no better bargain in all of golf, and the pro shop and cart return staff are both friendly and efficient,

The incoming course managers, whoever they may be, need to invest in repairs to the South Course. Such investment will pay for itself in a few years by attracting a lot more players.

We play this course once or twice a year, just to see if it's still as bad as the last time, and it was. The West had good grass on the fairways, not so the South. But the fairways need to be mowed, the grass was way too long. Some of the tee boxes looked like a herd of cows trampled through them. We played the West in good time, but then onto the South where there was a 4-some, and 2 were teaching the other 2. It was horrible, and since we were now a 2-some (the other 2 decided not to play another 9), and they would not let us through. We finally left the course after the 6th hole on the South. No rangers to keep it moving, dirt on the South fairways, etc, etc. Get rid of one of the 3 9's, sell some land and make it a great 18 holer.

Good, Nice and Fair Play Course! Played South (Open Links Style) and West ( Tight with Tree and Moss over hang on several tee boxes! I would play it again.

Poor might be two generous. The fairways were in terrible shape tons of weeds lots of bare spots. The tee boxes were also weeds and bare spots. The greens were in decent shape. For the rate paid I would have expected much greener fairways! That being said , I love the course layout and the peacefulness. Staff was very friendly.

After speaking with a local recently about this course Thought ide give this course a try again after several years. . Don’t waste ur time or money. Some of the greens were better than decent but that’s only positive I have for this course. Nothing else was good. Wait the staff and bacon egg and cheese sandwich was the highlight at the turn. Would of rather spent and additional 20$ and played Amelia River which would have been playable tee to green. This course needs a lot of TLC prolly another several years before I consider.

Awesome course for the money. Still haven't played the North course yet as its been South and West. The tee boxes need work and the greens were in great shape.
