Mission Inn Resort & Club - Las Colinas Course
About
Las Colinas is one of two championship golf courses at Mission Inn Resort. It is less challenging than the other course, El Campeon, but both provide enjoyable and unique rounds. Las Colinas sprawls across gently rolling hills with elevation changes that are less startling than those found throughout the older El Campeon course. Twisted oak hammocks and a sprinkling of lush pines accent Las Colinas. The golf course has an inland links layout that boasts wide-open, forgiving fairways and large, receptive greens. There is an interesting variety of risk/reward opportunities as well as a few forced carries. The course has many player-friendly features but its classic architecture does call for a fair amount of accuracy, especially on its signature hole, the par-5 12th. Nicknamed "Alligator Alley," this 493-yard hole features a winding, tree-lined fairway.

6 - some oh my!!?? Terrible outing.
It would have been a good golf outing but the pro shop or someone decided to allow a 6-some on the course which slowed the entire course play down tremendously. After phoning the pro shop after a few holes of this nonsense they really did very little to stop the nonsense. A 6-some is generally unheard of, even on lesser known and obscure courses, so to have to put up with this at Mission Inn was a total shock and surprise. We were playing as a 3-some so the pace was ridiculous and took hours more to finish. Not to mention the 6-some wasn’t even courteous enough to offer us to play through. All in all a terrible golf outing at Mission Inn.
Never Disappoints...
Fun track whether Los Colinas or El Campeon (tighter). Gr8 fun, gr8 track, and gr8 challenges for all skill levels.
Of course is in great shape the greens are in great shape
hot as hellicopters!
the best track in florida!!!!!!!play when it gets a little cooler!
Good round with course in decent shape
There were a few spots under repair but generally the course is in great condition. Cool layout that is not quite as difficult as El Campeon. There is a par 5 on the back 9 that is being renovated and is cut down to about 245 yards.
Even after a recent erration of the greens of course was in great shape
Disappointing
It would appear that all the time and effort is going in to El Campeon, considering they just hosted an Epsom Tour event. I'd be curious to know if they used the same range, as the main range is (and always has been!) in terrible condition.
Practice green was amazing, and safe to say, everyone was looking forward to getting out there if those conditions were anything to go by - they weren't!
As soon as we arrived at the first green, it was evident that the practice area must only be reflective of El Campeon. The Las Colinas greens were slow, bumpy and not rolling well at all.
It progressed downhill from there. Rough tee boxes, rough fairways, awful off the fairway and the icing on the cake, swarms of mosquitos, especially rounding 5, 6 & 7 - bring bug spray!
Construction is wreaking havoc and it's not subtle. #8 is gone, with no re-routing, so just a massive drive from 7 to (old #9) 8. The back continues to spiral downward, with a par 5 chopped to 250 yards!
Pace of play was good at first as the course was open. When we did finally catch the group in front of us, it was evident that none of them had really played much golf. Given we had a group of 25, we couldn't play through them (not that they ever offered) and the ranger, who passed them 3x did nothing! We backed up to 3 groups on a tee box before we had to ask the beverage cart girl to intervene and call the clubhouse - should not have come to that!
The kicker at the end of the day is the restaurant and bar that is way, wayyyy over priced!
Until all the construction is completed on this side, I would highly recommend staying away for now!
Under Too Much Construction
Front nine in fair shape. The back nine has a par 5 shortened to a 245 yard par 3. Some areas have so much work being done you can't drive or walk on them.
Not worth it for the price.
A lot of the back 9 is cart path only.
Donwword spiral
Holes 4,6,8,10,12,13,14,17 fairways in horrible condition. 14 is almost unplayable if you are on left side . Around the greens there are ruts bald patches dirt and ground under repair not marked as such. This is not resort golf by any stretch of the imagination. Pace of play is slow no rangers to move groups along. Very high priced for such poor playing conditions. To their credit the greens are in very good shape. Under current course conditions I cannot recommend las colinas
Front nine fine
Played Los Colinas and I should have listened to previous reviews. When I first seen the driving range I knew things were gonna be bad. It looked like a cow pasture. I have never seen any driving range so bad. It made ‘Tin Cups’ driving range look like Augusta country club.
The front nine wasn’t bad but as we progressed to the back nine it got bad. The greens were okay but the fairways were non existent. There was more dirt then fairways in some areas.
I’m from north Georgia and I play a municipal course for $30 and it’s in much better shape then this hole. NEVER AGAIN!!!
Very nice track
I enjoyed our round...I always enjoy it when I win. I can't say enough about Mission Inn...I tell all my golfing friends about it. Joe Diorio
Exceptional every time
Mission Inn Las Collins’s course was in mint condition! Greens were perfect (on the fast side). The course played very fair with some holes being fairly difficult yet other pretty easy and straight forward. Fairways and tee boxes were fantastic as was the rough and approach areas. We couldn’t have had a better experience! Love the resort, the staff were amazing and very friendly. The food in the bar/restaurant was excellent too. Looking forward to playing there again soon!!!!!
