The Plantation Golf Club - Otter Creek Course
About
The Plantation at Leesburg offers two championship courses, the Cranes Roost Course and the Otter Creek Course. The Otter Creek Course features an interesting layout that is wide open on the front nine, while the back nine is rife with towering trees. Situated on hilly terrain, the golf course features gently rolling fairways and the medium-sized greens have some slight undulations. As its name suggests, a creek flows through the golf course and comes into play on several holes throughout. The semi-private Plantation at Leesburg provides two excellent golf courses, but they also feature a practice facility and staff of golf professionals to help players of all skill levels.

Golfer Reviews
give it a chance
I am sure at one time this was a spectacular course. But as with a majority of courses the greens have become diseased. They are fighting back , but the conditions are worse than I expected. All tee boxed need work , they need to be leveled out , fairways spotty . i just rolled the ball over , the sticking point was the greens, OMG slow greens. At the very least they should cut down what grass is on the greens. some greens should be closed and put in temporary greens. I am hoping to see this course make a comeback.
Long way to go
Beautiful layout.
Greens are horrible, tees in bad shape, uneven with long grass.
Fairways not too bad but lots of bad lies.
Putting green was under construction, driving range was un cut.
The staff is tremendous, very nice and welcoming.
Potential is there but the conditions are just not worth playing there.
Plantation Leesburg
Great course although most greens are in rough shape. The dough’s along the fairways sometimes make it very difficult to find balls due to grass is high in many areas. Good challenging course I enjoy.
Terrible course…much potential
Not much to say…this course has a lot of potential but is not taken care of. The back nine is better…but the fairway is full of weeds. Don’t get me started on the greens.
Terrible Course
Back 9 closed off! Front 9 was being aireated, sand all over the greens !!
Worst course we have ever played !! Should have demanded our money back from Golf Now !!
Very poor in almost everyway
The Greens are terrible from no grass, sand, bare all over almost ... Bad!
The fairways are fairly decent for this time of year
... heat.
Course shape
The front side was closed due to aeration. Had to play the backside twice. The pace of play was brutal because they just rushed everybody out there it seemed like. And they aerated that side and it was not ready for play. The greens were nothing but white sand and wrinkled up like an old carpet so putting was impossible.

I will play again if price is too good to pass up. Other then that, it needs some attention considering there other courses with better prices and conditions close by.
The Webster Foursome
The front nine had two temp greens that was listed on web site. Thirty percent of the greens had a fungus, but you could see that fungus was being treated. Fairways were in great shape. Pro shop and Bar/Grill staff A+. Met some local golfers that treated us kindness & respect. Impressed with Plantation residents on course trimming tress to enhance everyone’s golfing experience. Will play again and recommend.
Its getting better and better
The course still needs work but you can tell they are working on them.
Fun course
The greens are slow and rough in places and the fairways need overfeeding. Some of the holes are challenging and you have to make some shots to get into position. Overall a nice course.
Couldn't be more disappointCouldn't be more disappointed
Pictures look decent online. The price wasn't cheap so I thought it would be at least a decent course. I don't think I've ever played a course in worst condition in my life. There was no warning whatsoever. Even it has to be at some point better because it couldn't be worse. I've never seen anything like it. It should have been $10 for the round at that much of a discount due to the conditions and they should have been up front but it was the most disappointing I've ever been of course in my life and I've played a lot of golf. Just embarrassing is what it was. We didn't even finish..
It’s a hard no
Not sure you could call this a golf course. There isn’t 3blades of grass on this golf course.
There are a few greens that are nice, but that doesn’t make a golf course.
The fairways are way too narrow and the layout would not be fun even if there was grass .
The staff after taking our money handed us a golf cat key and we were on our own.
We had trouble finding our way around.
This was the worst golf experience I have ever had in Florida.
