About
Arlington Ridge Golf Club in Leesburg, Fla. runs alongside the Palatlakaha River, which edges along the entire southern boundary. Centuries-old oak trees have a commanding presence on the course with stately oak canopies providing beautiful backdrops to the greens and fairways. Pro golfer and NBC commentator Gary Koch crafted the layout. He wanted to create a golf course that is challenging but not overly difficult, giving it appeal for players of any skill level. The layout has a varied mix of holes that strike a balance between being tough and player friendly. Beginners still have a good shot at finishing the round strong while seasoned golfers will enjoy the subtle nuances of the course's tests that come from the elevated greens, strategically placed hazards, and dogleg approaches. You won't encounter any major obstacles but Arlington Ridge is a golf course that will make you think.

Open fairways
I’ve played Arlington Ridge quite a few times before. Staff is always a friendly. Decent little driving range putting green and chipping area. Course was solid. Greens had a few areas that need attention. Fairways were in pretty good shape and relatively easy to hit. Clubhouse bar and Grill is closed on Sunday and no beverage cart knocks it down a pig or two. Other than that. Great spot.
Greens were recently aerated
Should be much better in a week.
New sand in the bunkers is way too fluffy. Needed to cut it with some sand. Not sure what the plan is there. Still a great course.
Golf day
Greens were nice aprons around Greens not so nice lotta dryness and hard spots fairways dry hard spots not much grass pace. A play was good. Played 18 or four hours, but there was a six sum in front of us with only three bags of clubs started out. It was a foursome with one bag two more people join with two bags.
Go play
Green is in very good condition. Tee box’s good. Fairway is not bad. Get a bad lie move it to some grass. very good value for the money.
Work in progress
The fairways were sparse with big areas of no grass. They had just put new sand in all the bunkers but not raked them out and asked us to pull out of sand. The greens were in great shape, rolled true but they were slow. I can see that they are working hard on the place but it needs the rainy season to get here. Will try again in a few months.
Getting better and better
Course is coming together. And looking better than it used to be. When the rain comes back and the ruff get greener its going to be one of the best golf courses in lake county to play at.

Great Catch up Round with a Great Friend
Bryan and I met in Maui in 2008. We have remained golf pals ever since. He and his wife and their 6 grandchildren were visiting Disneyworld so he and I escaped to play golf! It was a perfect day!
