About
Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is carved from gently rolling hills located just outside of Orlando in the city of Leesburg. Although the wide fairways are relatively flat, the golf course's terrain provides the greens with gentle undulation. Sparkling lakes provide scenery while also coming into play as water hazards on nine holes. There are also doglegs and bunkers throughout to provide the golf course with even more challenges. Much of the land that the club occupies has been preserved as a wetlands area, offering golfers a glimpse of native wildlife. In addition to its natural beauty, Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is popular due to its accessible layout that accommodates both low and high handicap players.

Fun course
For the golf now hot deal price, you can’t beat it. Greens are somewhat challenging. The Sandhills cranes tear up the fairways but that’s Florida. The tee box on hole 6 was all sand, but other than that it was kept up. Again, for the price, you can’t beat it.
Course reviews look great, the course is NOT!
Tee boxes and greens were bad shape. The layout is good but the course is in desperate need some TLC. For the money, $80 you are better off playing different course. Who in their right mind gave it a 94.4% rating and 4.2 stars? I believe it was the locals. It should only be a 3 star course if that! Don't waist your money.
1st time
Traveling thru the area, made t-time on T Off. My only negative is they put you in a shot-gun start and don't tell you when you make reservation. That info should be shared with customers. Enjoyed the course.
Leaves everywhere
The leaves are preventing the grass from growing. Nothing really in great shape. Behind four women. Pace was 4:45. Nice club house.
Nice layout. Greens were hard and fast made it very challenging. Fairways could use a little help

Course has a lot of play! We started from back 9, but no problem. No cart people and the directions from each hole was a little confusing. Overall, nice course fir the money!

Ok for the $$. Used Golfnow. Fairways ok for time of year. Greens so-so. Nice layout. Course a little “tired”.
Leesburg Hidden Gem
About 50 minutes outside Orlando. This is a great course to satisfy the golf itch. Well maintained greens and the challenging layout makes for a nice change from the high priced norm. My new go to when tee times get booked up in Orlando.

Great course, great people
I frequently play this course and always find it in very good condition. Mike and Laura behind the counter are the best there are. The rates are very reasonable. I’m happy to drive the 20 miles to enjoy the course and the dining room. Food and staff are the best!
