Las Colinas is one of two championship golf courses at Mission Inn Resort. It is less challenging than the other course, El Campeon, but both provide enjoyable and unique rounds. Las Colinas sprawls across gently rolling hills with elevation changes that are less startling than those found throughout the older El Campeon course. Twisted oak hammocks and a sprinkling of lush pines accent Las Colinas. The golf course has an inland links layout that boasts wide-open, forgiving fairways and large, receptive greens. There is an interesting variety of risk/reward opportunities as well as a few forced carries. The course has many player-friendly features but its classic architecture does call for a fair amount of accuracy, especially on its signature hole, the par-5 12th. Nicknamed "Alligator Alley," this 493-yard hole features a winding, tree-lined fairway.

Overpriced and mediocre

I was extremely disappointed in this course. The layout was mediocre compared to other courses in the area, with no special challenges. The pace of play was excruciatingly slow. The electronic cards would shut off if the cards were brought to near locations where they shouldn’t be going, which is great, except our shut off twice on two holes, even when they were in the middle of the cart path. We could see that the cart of the group in front of us were doing the same thing. The course was in good condition. I will not be playing here again and wouldn’t recommend it to others.

Mission Inn still not where it should be

I was born & raised not too far from 'the Mish' as we referred to it. El Campeon is one of the best layouts in FL. Las Colinas was a nice layout when Koch first finished it but the last few owners have prostituted it so much for developments that it is a joke. As for conditions, spend your money on Deer Island. The greens at Colinas were very nice but also very slow. The fairways were pretty sad in places and not worthy of the elevated price they command. The tees and areas around the green are marginal. All said, I'll be avoiding this place unless a $35 special shows up one day.

Overpriced_bad course conditions

I had played El Campeon a few years back and loved the course. I decided to try Las Colinas but after playing it this morning, I would not recommend this course. At 109$ for the green fee, you are definitely not getting your money’s worth. The greens were in good shape but that’s about it. Lots of spots hitting in muddy areas. Maybe if the course was 55-60$ it would make sense but not at 110$.
