About
Since the opening of Bent Creek Golf Course in 1989, the 6,420-yard, par-71 course has provided a challenging golf experience for residents of Northeast Florida and visitors alike.
Crafted by renowned architect Bobby Weed with consulting services by Mark McCumber, Bent Creek's meandering terrain takes golfers through a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, towering pines and alongside creeks and swales. The championship layout boasts Bermuda grass greens, plush fairways and a state-of-the-art lighted practice facility - home of the Bent Creek Golf Academy.
From the back tees, Bent Creek carries a rating of 71.6 and a slope of 136. The challenge starts with the first hole, which measures 538 yards from the gold tees, just 20 yards short of No. 15, the longest hole on the golf course.

Nice Surprise
Despite other reviews, I was pleasantly surprised by this golf course. Great layout and fun course to play. Greens were fine. Tee boxes need a little help, but otherwise a very enjoyable round.

SLOW PLAY
EXTREMELY SLOW PLAY
Played at 2PM on Presidents Day. Was told when we checked in to just go to the tee box at our time, NO STARTER, NO RANGERS. There was a foursome (2 walking, 2 with carts) then a single player that wouldn’t hit, including his tee shot (not very well) until the foursome cleared the green!! No ranger to come talk to him. We paired with the single behind us for three. We finished in the dark and rushed the last 2 holes just to finish. The foursome behind us was not very forgiving near the end having to wait 10 plus minutes a hole.
The course conditions were good. The greens have come back nicely and were very smooth. Fairways and overall the course was very good.
The cart girl needs to being more than just in the back did not see her at all in the front it looks like she's doing a little heading between a few different holes in the back if she wants to get more tips it would help for her to move all the way around the course
Fun Course in a beautiful setting.
I would definitely play this course again. Greens were nice even though they had just been aerated. You could play from a variety of lengths from different tee boxes. What was really cool was that each hole was on its own. It was like a nice walk through a nature preserve. Seeing the cool birds that were around the course was cool too.
Friendly staff. Course in good condition….tricky greens. I enjoy this course.
Good value for the money
Taking advantage of the hot deals offered makes this course a good value. While not the longest course out there it has plenty of hazards and creative design that make it difficult for the average golfer while being fun to play. The staff are pretty friendly and the facilities are nice, would definitely recommend checking this one out.
Fast greens
Have not played Bent Creek since the greens were re-done. They were fast and smooth and could not have been more happy. Pace of play, since I was a single, was great until I got to # 14 stopped dead and joined up with two other singles which was just fine with me. All in all it was great day to play the Creek.
Greens are back
1/2/23 - Friendly staff, greens rolled very well, and pace of play was 3.5 hours (12:30-4pm) as a single riding with my wife behind a threesome. Our cart died on #15 but the pro shop ran another out to us in less than 5 minutes. Great day. Rated 4 stars due to some course conditions. Greens are nice, but there are other areas that we could use some tlc.
Great round
This course has gotten better than the last two or three times we've played now that greens are back up and looking decent awesome layout and staff always polite and helpful. Cart person is a plus. Will be back soon.
Course is definitely improving.
Condition of the course, I.e. greens, etc. were extremely improved from the last time played.
