About
Since the opening of Bent Creek Golf Course in 1989, the 6,420-yard, par-71 course has provided a challenging golf experience for residents of Northeast Florida and visitors alike.
Crafted by renowned architect Bobby Weed with consulting services by Mark McCumber, Bent Creek's meandering terrain takes golfers through a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, towering pines and alongside creeks and swales. The championship layout boasts Bermuda grass greens, plush fairways and a state-of-the-art lighted practice facility - home of the Bent Creek Golf Academy.
From the back tees, Bent Creek carries a rating of 71.6 and a slope of 136. The challenge starts with the first hole, which measures 538 yards from the gold tees, just 20 yards short of No. 15, the longest hole on the golf course.

Short but challenging
Enjoyed the round and would return. Didn't realize the pace was slow until we finished. Fairways and greens are in good shape, greens were MUCH slower than the practice green. Some blind shots, several doglegs; having an app is critical to stay out of trouble.
Tuff but fair
Greens where in nice conditions and in general the course was in pretty good shape. Had a good time and will be going back again.
Loved Bent Creek
I enjoyed this corse nestled in the pines with lots of water-?perhaps the best course I’ve played in the Jax area. Clubhouse rather small but a nice staff and had everything I was looking for. Liked the electric carts- I’ll be back
Greens were excellent. Construction on cart paths, others need it.
Had a real slow foursome ahead of the twosome ahead of me and nobody offered to let anyone through. No ranger to enforce.
A little wet but no in playable
The greens were in great shape! Not a bare spot. Fairways were wet but expected. Overall the course was in great shape. Keep up the good work!
Disappointed
Cart path only the day I played. Cart paths need some major work. Very slow play.
new greens
Thanks for getting new greens and they were nice despite all the rain we've been getting lately. I hope your focus is on the tee boxes next. especially the par 3 tee boxes. I mention this every time I do a review .
Greens A++
Can’t necessarily control pace of play, but it was awful. Greens in fantastic shape. Love the layout. Fun public course.

Terrible Greens
This course has a decent layout but the greens were horrible. They have planted rye grass on top of bermuda and then are not cutting low enough and these were the slowest and bumpiest greens I have pitted on in some time. Simply out was miserable.

Awesome course!
This course was great! Staff was very informative of the layout of the course and very friendly. It was a pretty challenging course for me, this was only my 4th time playing so I struggled a bit getting around the course but overall I had a great time out there! They also have a really helpful app that gives you hole layouts, gps and score tracker.

Better choices around Jax
Thought we would try Bent Creek after not playing here in a year or so. Should have waited longer.
The overseeded greens were painfully slow and don’t roll very good. The attention to detail with some simple things like where and how to place tee markers is serious lacking. Had several placed no more than 2 paces wide as well as having to stand in mud. Other markers were set on a downhill tier! All it takes is a little bit of training from the superintendent...
Sadly going to be a while before we come back. Too many other much better conditioned courses in the area for the same $$$$
