About
Since the opening of Bent Creek Golf Course in 1989, the 6,420-yard, par-71 course has provided a challenging golf experience for residents of Northeast Florida and visitors alike.
Crafted by renowned architect Bobby Weed with consulting services by Mark McCumber, Bent Creek's meandering terrain takes golfers through a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, towering pines and alongside creeks and swales. The championship layout boasts Bermuda grass greens, plush fairways and a state-of-the-art lighted practice facility - home of the Bent Creek Golf Academy.
From the back tees, Bent Creek carries a rating of 71.6 and a slope of 136. The challenge starts with the first hole, which measures 538 yards from the gold tees, just 20 yards short of No. 15, the longest hole on the golf course.

Excellent
Course iis in good shape. Greens are slower than normal at the moment doe to coming in lush.

Lots of water
The course is in decent shape. It’s pretty much a target golf course. There is water on most holes. Tee boxes are a bit beat up, but it’s a good value for the money.
Pace of Play
I like Bent Creek, live pretty close so I would consider it my home course. It's exciting that lots of ppl have taken up the game in this pandemic. I like to say I play here on a semi regular basis. This course however is not a short course by any means, typical time is like 4.5ish hours to play so when you over extend the course it takes way longer and that's kinda not fun. Had to wait for a golf cart which then I started late. Then the pace of play did not match the beautiful day that was above. Seems like it also things may get overlooked and be less safe when your trying to pump tee times and carts out.
Good choice
Good course, pace slowed down drastically about 12.
Very busy on a Friday. Course was super backed up. Great course, and good price.
Good Golf Value
The Bent Creek staff was friendly, accommodating, and professional. The economical Golf Now price made our golf experience a fantastic value. Although a shorter course, the course layout was challenging enough from the tips with great site lines from the tees. The greens were a little sticky but in great shape. They have a very adequate driving range with chipping, putting, and bunker practice areas. Definitely go back again.
Fix the tee boxes!
Thanks for the new greens. Can we put the main focus on the tee boxes now? Especially par 3 tee boxes particularly hole number 2! Also me and other golfers has lost balls in the fairways because the drains don’t have covers. I play this course every week so I feel I have the right to make these requests. This course is challenging and be the perfect course to play if you fix the things I mentioned above.
Tee boxes and fairways were rough. Greens were in good condition but did not roll true.
Short but challenging
Enjoyed the round and would return. Didn't realize the pace was slow until we finished. Fairways and greens are in good shape, greens were MUCH slower than the practice green. Some blind shots, several doglegs; having an app is critical to stay out of trouble.
Tuff but fair
Greens where in nice conditions and in general the course was in pretty good shape. Had a good time and will be going back again.
Loved Bent Creek
I enjoyed this corse nestled in the pines with lots of water-?perhaps the best course I’ve played in the Jax area. Clubhouse rather small but a nice staff and had everything I was looking for. Liked the electric carts- I’ll be back
Greens were excellent. Construction on cart paths, others need it.
Had a real slow foursome ahead of the twosome ahead of me and nobody offered to let anyone through. No ranger to enforce.
