Bent Creek Golf Course
About
Since the opening of Bent Creek Golf Course in 1989, the 6,420-yard, par-71 course has provided a challenging golf experience for residents of Northeast Florida and visitors alike.
Crafted by renowned architect Bobby Weed with consulting services by Mark McCumber, Bent Creek's meandering terrain takes golfers through a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, towering pines and alongside creeks and swales. The championship layout boasts Bermuda grass greens, plush fairways and a state-of-the-art lighted practice facility - home of the Bent Creek Golf Academy.
From the back tees, Bent Creek carries a rating of 71.6 and a slope of 136. The challenge starts with the first hole, which measures 538 yards from the gold tees, just 20 yards short of No. 15, the longest hole on the golf course.

One of the best I’ve ever played
This course was surprisingly amazing every turn was a great surprise bravo to the staff i would go back every time I’m in town.
Awesome round
Greens and fairways were in great rolling form. Awesome outing and pace of play was very quick and enjoyable
Nice turnaround
Used to play here a lot, but have stayed away for quite sometime due to course conditions, primarily the greens. They were completely redone about 2 years ago, and are just now losing that new green firmness. Still a little slow, but remarkably improved. Still need some TLC on some tee boxes, but overall in good condition. Always a challenge with tight fairways and forced carries. Good job Bent Creek.
Challenging course in good condition
Tee boxes still could be better but it’s always been like that.
Right now greens are recovering from being punched so that’s not ideal. However, the fairways are in great conditions right now. Beautiful green fairways. Very fun but challenging course !
Need’s a lot of work.
The course only had the front nine available so we had to play it twice. However, I did see other people playing the back. The tee boxes were dry with no grass and the greens were very slow. Overall, I didn’t enjoy the round and would not recommend the course to any of my friends.
Nice for neighborhood round with friends
Bent Creek is a nice layout with multiple tee boxes to suit golfers of all skill levels and ambitions. The trees are often thick framing both sides of the fairways and water will come into play, sometimes as a surprise to first time players unfamiliar with the layout. The greens were somewhat tricky with significant breaks on mostly small and elevated greens.
The golf carts are gas, not electric, but clean and well maintained. The pro shop is small and typical of neighborhood courses. Food and beverages after the round are quite limited, so the pub area is suited more for gat-and-go than anchoring down.
Overall, a fine value and nice, professional staff.
Stay in the Fairway!
Great course and mid-week not real busy....we had a 2-some ahead and a 2-some behind - and we were a 2-some. Greens were fair but FAST. Sand traps...I was only in one and unfortunately is was wet sand which ruins the sand experience - not from rain more likely from sprinklers. Fairways were in good. Loads of water and woods on this course so keep it in the fairway. Playing safe leads to lower scores here. Overall, great time, will return.
Course in good shape
The course is in good shape. Backed up on Sunday is the only draw back. Greens and fairways are in great shape. If you are not a precise striker, you could lose a lot of balls in the water hazards. I love the layout.
Great Course!
Just moved to area and decided to play course for the first time. Staff was much friendlier than I was expecting. Shout out to Sal! Course layout was nice with a few challenging hole. Only negative was pace was a little slow causing guys behind us to get a bit antsy. Even hit up on us which was not cool. Other than that great course to play mid day.
Enjoyed round
Front nine real slow… 9 holers left so a bit faster on back
