Disney's Magnolia Golf Course
About
The 18-hole Magnolia Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1971. Designed by Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore, Magnolia Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort measures 7505 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 142 and a 76.6 USGA rating. The course features 5 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are bermuda grass.
Of all the Disney courses, the Magnolia supports a greater abundance of wildlife. At any given time, you're likely to see deer, osprey, alligators and turtles. A flock of wild turkeys has brought several tournaments to a standstill while they pecked along its fairways. The course features elevated tees and greens with wide and generous fairways graced by over 1,500 magnolia trees that bloom from late spring to mid-summer. Brightly colored crape myrtles and oleanders, along with beds of blue plumbego and seasonal flowers, add sparkle to an otherwise dense, natural forest.

Unfortunately, the climate of recent has not been conducive to healthy turf growth, but we expect that as the weather warms up again, that the vibrancy of the turf will again return.-Management Photo submitted by Ah1122 on 03/24/2021

Fun course
Wet cart path only on some holes verticut greens but enjoyable course
Fantastic!
The Magnolia course at Disney was in fantastic condition today. The pace of play was tight at four hours and the staff was great. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
Green was slow slow bumpy
Except green was good condition.
I dont know why green keeper made green rough and slow and bumpy. I play a lot. But I always complain green.
I asked pro shop but they don't care.
Send green keeper to championsgate and southern dune
Their green s are awesome.
Fun Course
Great condition. Pace of play was good. Enjoyable layout
I’ll be back!
Nice Considering Covid Conditions
With Disney you can rarely go wrong. It was nice as always! Word of warning... watch out for the wildlife... they think your snacks are their snacks. They are not animitronic : )
Disney do good
the course is challenging from the tee to the greens, its in great condition , especially the greens, a lot of water. Just be aware of that, but overall great course for $49
It's a Disney course, what else can I say.
You really can't go wrong with anything Disney. The course was in great condition even though we're in the Florida dry season. The staff was friendly. The starter gave us a 5 minute layout of what to expect. All in all I'm definitely coming back to this course, after I play the palm course though.
Magnolia greens are really nice. Just verticut
Course is in really good shape. Greens are awesome no grain. Fast. Pace a little slow on back nine. Best value around for money
Very Disney Experience
Took my son to play here for the first time. Course was in good shape. It was very challenging. The staff was second to none! They were very helpful and very courteous. Very happy they are still open during the COVID-19 times.
Social distancing at its finest
Had great time, carts were cleaned prior to use, all players in their own cart. All social distancing measures were put into play. What a great way to get out of the house.
Outstanding
Course is beautiful and challenging. It was an awesome experience
Excellent course, great early spring conditions!
A very nice layout. Conditions were EXCELLENT! Both greens and fairways were green and lush. Only a very bad shot would find a lie that wasn't ideal. At $49....you won't find a better bang for the buck in Central FL. Pace of play was also excellent.... Just under 4 hours.... Though I'm certain coronavirus fear helped that. Would definitely return.
We really enjoyed your golf course. The staff are amazing....the price...pricey. We will come back!
Fabulous experience
FIRST CLASS treatment from the moment we arrived. True service with a smile from everyone at the course.
Great welcome from Bag drop person, a big welcome from the manger and the entire pro shop staff plus a personal welcoming from the Golf operations general manager!!
What a great way to start off a relaxing day of golf!
Disney Magnolia Course
The course was very scenic with a nice layout. Deer, Hawks, Black birds, flamingo and Turkeys were all about. Enchanting. You will enjoy it.
This is not a good Disney experience!
I can't believe Disney would put their name to these golf courses! I played both the Magnolia and Palm courses, both are cow pastures! Tees and fairways beaten up bad and more brown dead grass than green. Greens were slow and some holes had weeds growing on the actual greens! The condition of the course is far from acceptable for Disney. The course reminded me of what you find at a local muni public course in town with a limited budget. I will say the layout is great so they have a lot to work with. The staff is very nice and definitely is Disney as far as customer service. The pro shop is fully stocked and the carts have really nice seats with the GPS. Please fix the golf course this is not worth the money for this kind of condition! And the range balls should be included in the greens fee not an extra charge. The guys I played with all agreed we will not play these courses again, much better options for half the cost in the area.
Disney Magnolia- Average Course
Played the Magnolia course today. Only chose this course due to recommendations from friends who played it before. With all the options in Orlando, I probably won’t play this one again. They must have aerated the course recently, so the fairways were lined with grooves all the way down. Greens speed was average. Pace was a bit slow, but luckily the group ahead of us admitted they we slow and let our foursome pass. Customer service, like all Disney facilities were top notch and polite. Was very surprised that range balls were an additional cost. Other courses has practice balls included in the green fees. Due to the slower than expected green speed and condition of the fairways, the best part of the round was reading the trivia at each tee block. Give this course a chance. This was my experience on this day at this time of the year.
Resort Golf at its best!!
Very enjoyable round at Magnolia. I was a single and got paired up with 3 other golf enthusiasts. Had a good time and considering it being a resort course on. Sunday the pace of play was acceptable ... 4.5 hours . Staff very friendly and and off course area very clean. course condition 4 out of 5 and I play slot of golf.
Thank you for your feedback on your recent round at Walt Disney World® Golf. We apologize for the fact that your were displeased with the course conditions that you experienced.
We hope that you will reconsider playing our wonderful courses again in time to come, so we can exceed your expectations upon your next visit to Orlando.
I can assure you that the grass on both of our golf courses is not "dead", but merely dormant. The Bermuda grass upon each of our golf courses goes partially dormant during the cooler winter months, and that is what you experienced. As it warms up, it will green up, and be back to the lush playing surfaces that are more common at Walt Disney World Golf.
If you would like to discuss further what you and your group encountered during your visit with our management staff, please feel free to reach out to our leadership by emailing disneygolfreservations@palmergolf.com so that we can help resolve your residual concerns.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us!
