Rating 76.0

The 18-hole Magnolia Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1971. Designed by Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore, Magnolia Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort measures 7516 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 141 and a 76.0 USGA rating. The course features 5 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are bermuda grass.

Of all the Disney courses, the Magnolia supports a greater abundance of wildlife. At any given time, you're likely to see deer, osprey, alligators and turtles. A flock of wild turkeys has brought several tournaments to a standstill while they pecked along its fairways. The course features elevated tees and greens with wide and generous fairways graced by over 1,500 magnolia trees that bloom from late spring to mid-summer. Brightly colored crape myrtles and oleanders, along with beds of blue plumbego and seasonal flowers, add sparkle to an otherwise dense, natural forest.

Great golf course

Was very good but need employees going around the golf course selling beverages and food like most other places.

Personal was very friendly and courteous, you can notice they like their job

Course was in great shape. Pace of play was dead on with 4.5 hours, which is what they say. I do think they could space out groups going off more than the 8 minute time.

Staff is absolutely fantastic. John and Fran are great starters on the tee box.

Happiest Place On Turf

The course was in great condition from tee to green. My first time playing Magnolia. Was nice to play where so many pros have played. The course has a lot of history. I didn't find the course to play as difficult as I expected. Was fun and somewhat challenging, but by no means as challenging as some others in the area. I found the Disney Palm course to be more of a challenge. Still a fun experience.

Magical

Extremely impressed. Disney does it right, even in their golf courses. One of the top courses I have played in my life. Great layout, lots of water and bunkers, elevated greens, and trees. The course is pristine condition, good job greens keepers. No food/beverage carts,, but there are a couple of food/drink stands along the way. This course was enchanting: the wildlife, the trees, the cleanliness.

Magnolia Course - Definitely Recommend

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The course was in terrific condition. Pace of play was fine. If you are a Florida resident, they offer a discount.

I've played this course more than once and will definitely be back.

No OB

Disney now have no OB on any of its courses. All marked as lateral hazards or drop zones over the water. Played here many times, always good to go back. The greens on Magnolia were very quick (played Palm last week, not as quick).

Was a slow 4 ball in front, managed to play 17 holes.

Not worth the money

Very expensive if you are a non-Florida resident ($90 +) and definitely not worth the money. For that price the course should be in pristine condition, which it wasn't. There was not anything special about the course. There are similar courses in Orlando where you can pay $50 for a round. Dining options are limited, since the only choices are in the Shades of Green resort next door. On the positive side, the staff was great.

Staitey

As a -1 handicap golfer I like to think I know what a decent golf course is. This is possible the best layout golf course I've ever seen, I have played most of the top course in England and Scotland as well as the ocean course pebble beach and Oakland hill. I played this course of the classic tees at 7,500. The layout may be amazing but the condition does not match. Greens are slow and un even in places I would give them 6/10, fairways are typical grass for the area, very soft and again weeds in places another 6/10. The tees are rough around the edges a score of 5/10. This sounds like a terrible course but trust me this place is amazing the layout it trueley worth the money. But beware this will take at least 4hrs 45 to complete and feels very very slow when playing.

Great for average golfers; Excellent value.

My husband and I played this course and found it overall fairly straightforward. A couple doglegs, a little water and the holes were increasingly tainted with traps as you progressed; particularly the last few.

We thought the grounds crew were a little rude on a couple holes as they apparently had not been trained to stop their blowers, etc. when players are approaching and/or on the green. We had a sandwich which was tasty but disappointed that a little bag of "healthier" chips was extra. Signage leading to course from Disney roadways is remarkably poor.

Great course

I will start off by saying beautiful course really enjoyed it, on the other hand my wife who is fairly new to the game was not up to one of the foursomes standards. He got a hold of the marshal and complained we were to slow we were told to speed up. So my wife decided to help out by skipping a few holes to speed up play. I suggested to my wife on the holes she didn't play that she could putt. The same person gave off a big huff i guess he has never played with women in the past i hope the next time he plays his playing partner complains about him being slow .

Great couse - great staff- a lot of fun

The course was in very good condition. Golf Now was great in getting me set up. But they are always great.

The course layout was very nice and a wonderful play for high or low handicap players, providing they are playing from the tee box that suits there handicap.

Not worth the hype

Nice course but after everyone telling me you have to play disneys magnolia I wasn't over impressed nice course and in pretty good condition though some greens need work

Definitely recommend as a hot deal though regular price over $80 is ludicrous so always book through golfnow

Pace of play very slow though I think a lot of this is American style of play as four balls don't let two balls through ??? Got stuck for hours and marshals are non existent

Handicap accessibility

Handicap accessibility

The course has a policy of turning off all golf carts within 50 yards of the green. This is unacceptable to handicapped individuals like myself, I drove all the way to Disney from far away the staff was not accommodating and was not interested in hearing the problem. The staff lied to me and told me that the golf cart cannot be turned off so that I would have accessibility .i'm shocked and appalled that Disney would have such a policy I find it amazing this day and age that a company like Disney would act like this.

We hope that you will play our wonderful courses again in time to come, so we can exceed your expectations upon your next visit to Orlando.

We do have an accessibility policy for individuals identifying themselves as handicapped, and even have single-rider golf carts for those individuals to utilize that cannot walk the short distance from the cart paths to the green in order to play their shot. These single-rider carts also allow someone to play golf from a seated position, even if they don't have the use of any of their lower limbs.

Mickey

Disney feeling can be better, driving to the course needs better info signs. The course is great, nice lay out conditions despite summertime good, greens fast enough for a Dutch golf player . Nice to play on a course where so many famous players have been! Missing a restaurant for enjoying the 19 hole. Overall great day
